Promoters Live Nation have confirmed to Access Hollywood that Janet's Rock Witchu Tour will resume this Saturday, October 11 in Uncasville, CT at the Mohegan Sun Arena.

"Janet, who has been under her doctor's care and recuperating over the last week, is excited about getting back on the road and again being able to share with her fans what she feels is one of her best stage shows ever," Live Nation said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

A string of concerts over the last two weeks were postponed due to an undisclosed illness. Live Nation has announced that all of the postponed concerts will be rescheduled.

New dates for the shows in Montreal, Boston, Philadelphia, Greensboro, and Ft. Lauderdale have yet to be announced.

The October 5 show in Atlanta was rescheduled to October 19, and the October 16 show in New York City was rescheduled to November 1. Previously, a September 27 show in Detroit had been rescheduled to October 28 due to production reasons.

I am happy to see that MS. Janet will be back on the road and I can see her in a few weeks here in Detroit, but don't belittle MADONNA, because everyone so called takes up for her "sorry piece of shhh" self.

Just because your not a fan of hers, doesn't mean you have to disrespect her. Her and Janet are both ICONs in the world of Dance Music, they both started their recording careers in 1982 and they both have had great success and still are.

I'm so tired of Janet Fans always getting on Message boards and talking trash about Madonna.

Madonna and Janet may have had a spat here and there in the past, but the two have expressed their respect for oneanother in recent years.

So don't get mad because Janet fell ill and ppl said it was for poor ticket sales, while Madonna gets publicity for taking on Mccain and Palin LMAO!!!

WELCOME BACK JANET, I'm still a BIGGER FAN OF MADGE, but I think Janet is The Better Jackson and she's gorgeous.

Janet Jackson has JUST pulled out of what was scheduled to be her next show on the ill-plagued Rock Witchu tour.

The show for Saturday night at the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut is OFF. It will presumably be "rescheduled."

No official explanation has been given.

Just Thursday, Jackson released a statement saying that she had been "under her doctor’s care and recuperating over the last week" and was "excited about getting back on the road and again being able to share with her fans what she feels is one of her best stage shows ever."

Well, that excitement must not have lasted very long - just one day later, Janet cancelled!

Normally, we believe people are entitled to their privacy when it comes to their health, but when you are fucking with people's hard earned money and treating poorly your few remaining fans, you OWE them an explanation.

Has to be. Ain't no way you can continue a tour if you keep on canceling dates when you're sick (or pregnant). Either or, lol... save people the trouble of going to concerts. I'm scared to go into the Janet's Friends forum, I can imagine them turning over their fan cards over there because of this.
