Tribute to Gwen Verdon and Bob Fosse

They both revolutionized modern dance and choreography in movies and on stage. I think that a testament to their talent is that you can put some of their choreography, that's almost 50 years old, with all kinds of contemporary music and it's still off that chain.

Check it out.

Walk It Out with Gwen Verdon

GWEN VERDON loves to "Push It" with SALT-N-PEPA

GWEN VERDON does "Crank Dat" by SOULJA BOY

GWEN VERDON is "Hung Up" on MADONNA

Here she is doing some of Sweet Charity. I always thought it sucked that they used Shirley Maclaine in the movie version instead of Gwen, when Shirley is not a natural singer or dancer. Oh well, Chita Rivera and Paula Kelly were the best things about that movie anyway.

Big Spender from the movie Sweet Charity. Paula Kelly was TOO foine!

Get Up and Get Out from Sweet Charity.

Here's Bob's sidepiece and Gwen's rival, Ann Reinking doing the damn thang in Annie. Love her too. Bob knew how to pick 'em. lol

And finally perhaps the best tribute to Fosse, Paula Abdul's Cold Hearted Snake. dancing jig

I really enjoyed watching the clips. Especially the first one with Gwen, where Beyonce got the inspiration for her new video. I love dance and musicals. Thanks!

Your welcome! thumbs up! I'm a musicals geek! The dance sequence in 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, to me, is one of the best scenes EVER put on celluloid plus it was shot in a single take, no cuts. eek
