'Off The Wall' is one of those albums where EVERY song is great.There is no filler here at all.Nearly every song could have been a single,including "Girlfriend"

I was thinking again why the demo of Workin Day and Night sounds better and this is why:

1. The louder sounds of the milk bottles, rattles etc was better
2. The strong sound of the bassline was better. I also like the added notes on the bassline.
3. The prescence of no ground bass was better
4. The fuller and slower pronunciation of the 'You Got Me Workin'
Workin' Day And Night You Got Me Workin workin day and night' chorus was better. On the final version it's irritating.
5. The higher piched sound of the 'And I'll Be Workin'
From Sun Up To Midnight' on the final version didn't work well.
6. Those breathing pauses ruin the flow.

The bassline on both versions is not very exciting. The last note should of had more emphasis/stress. Compare it to that of Burn This Disco Out and Off The Wall. Those song make you bob your head unlike Workin Day and Night.
Should of added a couple more quick notes on the bassline.

Triumph is a good one but it doesn't compare to Destiny, imo.
And I prefer Off The Wall to Thriller as well, but I still think Thriller is a top-notch album.

Nope, not every song is great. Just because Stevie Wonder wrote I Can't Help It doesn't mean it's great. Really listen. It's awful. It has no melody!
Workin Day and Night, I Can't Help It and Girlfriend are definitely filler.
By saying all these songs are on a similar level it's insulting to the greatness of the lead singles.

"Girlfriend" is another great song After five dance songs in a row,Michael slows it down with this smooth,midtempo song.

Thriller IMO is better than Off the Wall overall. The supposed filler is much better and the best songs are as good or better than those on Off The Wall.
If you think about it you would probably agree.
It's become standard by many to say Off The Wall is better because it's too obvious to say that Thriller is for how much it sold.

Off The Wall is good but way overrated. Disco music just doesn't do it for me. I like it mainly for Michael's incredible vocal performance across the whole album. In fact, he may have never sounded better.
