Madonna dedicates Miles Away to someone who is "emotionally retarded" last nite on her show! Bitch madonna is back! YAY!
[iBreaking up is hard to do. Especially when you have to perform the night that you've announced your divorce to the world. Several of our Perezcious readers caught Madonna's show last night in Boston and told us how Her Madgesty backhandedly dedicated a song to her soon-to-be ex. She dedicated the song Miles Away - written about Guy Ritchie - to "Anybody who knows someone who is emotionally retarded" and then added, "God knows I do!" Our readers said the crowd went wild. Yup, we've all been there. Just, you know, not in front of the whole world.[/i] source: perezhilton

Come on Maddy...let's not turn this into a bitter, nasty divorce "Miles Away" is one of my favorite songs....don't ruin it for me!
Although it's obvious that she feels that Guy was "emotionally distant" from her.The lyrics speak volumes.

Oh yes, Madonna's shows are mostly live as is painfully apparent if you've ever tried to listen to one. Here she is making the fatal mistake of trying to be spontaneous. She ends up totally fluffing the chorus ("Shit, it's too high for me!"). It's never a good idea when amateurs depart from the script. I'm not sure what sounds worse, her singing or her shouting/talking. Both are UTTERLY AWFUL! Fortunately the crowd are blissfully ignorant of what a sorry spectacle they are witnessing. See if you can endure this for the full four minutes. I warn you, it is sickening. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

During the Saturday show in NY, she forgot the words to "Ray Of Light".

I spilled coffee out of my mouth when she went into that "whose doing the motherfucking show" thing.
To be honest, there are just as stupid things on some Prince aftershow bootlegs.

To be honest, there are just as stupid things on some Prince aftershow bootlegs. You're a better man than me. I actually couldn't make it through the whole clip. It was just too hideous. And Prince has never sounded as god-awful as Madonna did there. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

Haha, Madge is like that cranky old woman who always get drunk at her teenage son's house party because she wants to be with the "in" crowd.
Madonna can't get away with half the stuff she pulled off at 31, 32, 33, 34, etc.

Madonna can't get away with half the stuff she pulled off at 31, 32, 33, 34, etc. That's pretty much exactly what I was gonna say in my last post. I decided not to. Fortunately, you said it for me. But what about the singing? If I went to a show and heard singing like that, I'd run to the ticket office and demand my money back. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

I mean, OK, she sings live but that doesn't give her the excuse to sound like a screeching chalkboard.

At least then she wouldn't be driving listeners to the gates of hell. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

I don't see it as that major of a diss or that mean spirited. It could be interpreted a lot of different ways. Maybe she means she's emotionally retarded too.
I think it's only human to feel hurt when you're going through a divorce. People complain that Madonna is cold and unemotional but then she expresses her feelings and she is criticized for that too. And Guy Ritchie has been quoted in the tabloid press allegedly saying certain negative things about her.

I don´t know how to put it, but there are just many people who have much more talent than she does, but never make it that big because they simply do not have the guts to act as if they were the kings of the world. She would get much more respect from me if she did not act "you all should worhip me no matter what I do because whatever I do is actually cool". I do not follow her that much. I´ve just seen few interviews with her, but I never felt that I was actually getting to know her by watching these interviews. She came off always as acting and pretending to me, hardly ever genuine. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. And he has had this astounding talent all his life, but we want him to be floored as well. We really don´t like the idea that he could have it all."

Unless she was refering to herself, but I don´t think many people will see it this way. It would not cross my mind, I know that. I would love her to get emotional, but leave insults out of this please. "When Michael Jackson is just singing and dancing, you just think this is an astonishing talent. Who hasn't said negative things about their ex? Nice to know you are all saints here. And I would hardly say calling someone "emotionally retarded" a huge personal insult.
It's totally normal to have negative feelings about an ex-husband. I don't see a problem with it. It's not like it was really that bad. All men are emotionally retared because that's how society encourages them to be.

I totally agree. Whenever I see her interviewed she always seems like she's acting. And it still spooks me out how people pretend not to notice how amateurish she is. It's like the elephant in the room that no one in the media ever mentions. The person I most liken her to is Sarah Palin. Anyone can see Palin has no business on the national stage. She's totally out of her league, yet there are millions of people who overlook that because they feel she represents them. Madonna is the same thing. A hopeless amateur loved by an army of the confused. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

I don´t think I am all saint, but if I ever said something negative about my ex, it was always privately, to my best friends. I don´t walk around saying bad things about them just to anyone. I do realize that I am not famous and that my situation is different. Her privacy is public property, but still, there are ppl who never bitch about in the public like MJ. Or maybe he´s the only one. I don´t know. I am not saying this cause I am obviously a fan, but has anyone ever heard him bitching about his ex? One of the things I respect about him and try to follow. She didn't personally diss him because she didn't actually mention his name.
And I hardly think Michael Jackson given his involvement with child abuse allegations is a moral compass that Madonna or anyone else should follow.
