Yo Soul...

Pleasure hailed from Portland, Oregon...my home. Proud to say that I got to see em gig multiple times BITD....a funk force to be reckoned with for sure. GREAT band.

"Future Now" is a decent effort from them. The usual mix of funk/soul/jazz...but this one was 79....so it has a few disco touches thrown in, too.

This one's all about "Glide" & "The Real Thing" for me tho. Hell, even today up here in P-Town.."Glide" is like CHURCH.

New vinyl? Nice snag..

Trickology

This will surprise some people. But Jay Kay said without "Pleasure" there would be no Jamioroquai. Jay said this band inspired him to start his own vehicle.
He named them his biggest musical influence on his band in a article covering the most important records that inspired him. He said Greatest Hits of Pleasure is one of his favorite albums. Over Roy Ayers,Bob Marley,Gil Scott Heron,Earth Wind and Fire,Sly Stone, it's Pleasure first.

cool
