What fan has more material 2 listen 2?

Well, considering that every Prince album since The Truth stays on my shelf... lol

That is fine but not with everyone. I dig Prince's output a great deal. So do a lot of other people.

It might do Prince some good to take some time off, imo.
It's not that I think his recent work is dreadful but on his last few albums he does appear to be just going through the motions.
He sounds uninspired, just recording for the sake of recording because he doesn't know what else to do. We've heard it all before.

I hear u.....I'll just say this. The stuff that Prince has released recently has not been his best. I'm just trying 2 figure out why he has not released the other material that is clearly better. It puzzles me but I'm sure he has his reasons. I just don't get it.

Yeah, he was inspired enough to respond immediately to Prince Fans United with F.U.N.K. and that was the best thing he'd done in ages.
So that proves that he's still got it in him. Maybe we need to piss him off more. lol

They're both past their prime sales wise, let's face it.
Prince used to average 3-4 million sales per album at his peak, MJ around 20m. (Thriller and Purple Rain being the exceptions, of course.)
I can't see either of them hitting those heights again. Fans of both should just enjoy the fact that they're still recording and put the sales war behind them.

He has it in him, there seems 2 be something holding him back. I think I have a very good idea what that is.

I hear you cause it's no different with Prince. People here on THIS DAMN SITE ask "How could you like anything Prince has done past 1995 or 2001?" Sometimes I want to say "Cause I do you stupid cunt!" lol We should all just live and let live. Easier said than done I know but it's worth the effort. smile

lol I've had my issues with Mike, I can't lie about that and I've expressed them here for years, but I'm slowly, that's the key word for me, getting myself to remember why I was an MJ fan in the first place. Buying the remastered Jacksons CD's last week, Destiny and Triumph, got me excited about MJ and his voice for the first time since I was a kid and I hit 30 in March. I dig them both in their own ways and hopefully they will come out strong on their next CD's. I have faith that P and MJ can and they will.

MJ bashing is just... dull. Ain't nobody saying anything about him that wasn't being said 15 years ago. bored

My fingers are crossed for both Mike and Prince. I've still mad respect for both where their music is concerned.

Musicology sold 2 million copies, 1 million through the concerts and over 1 million in store.

Then 3121 SOLD nearly a million, certifying GOLD status, add that to the 3 million copies given away for a small fee in the Sunday Mail and Including figures from his Back Catalog.

I'd say he sold close to 6 or 7 million of so copies...so LOCK THIS THREAD AND SHUT UP LMAO!!!
