Pretty nice video. The part at the photocopier was great.

I can't come up with any reason personally why I'd want to listen to the song more than once or twice though

It´s OK.

Mmmmmm. Dunno. It's not bad, but I ain't crazy about it.

I am a lil' turned off by the 'womaniser, womaniser, you're a womaniser'-part, as it shows off all the droning attributes that I do not like about her voice; monotony sucks sometimes.

I like her in the black wig. She should do that as a permanent style.

That's the part that annoys me too.

Yeah there are a couple of little nods to "toxic" in this video, like the fat guy that she pushes into the bathroom in "toxic" he reappears in this video, and her "red hair" is a character from toxic too, plus the whole grabbing the guy and throwing him is very similar to what she does at the end of the toxic video. All in all its "Britney" nodding to the past in a way, she looks great once again, her body is killer and always has been, but like i said in another Britney video post, lets not all front and talk about "editing" and "Visuals" or the song itself, its really about how she is looking.

Pure insanity but it was expected, these people obviously dont know the difference between a fat person and just being toned. Britney is a dancer and because of that will always be thicker, she has built muscle mass just from the routines of dancing, which is why her legs have always been toned.

I think this has replaced Gimme More has her worst ever single.
She should hire the people who wrote her first big hits or other songwriters better than those who write for her now.
Her new songs don't have good hooks.

The video is good, but the song is ok. It is not something I would buy.. maybe to workout or something..

You know, I have always wonder why somebody who makes good videos does not do very well acting. Like Madonna makes good videos, but she is not as successful acting. They are successful.. but they are better in videos.

It just seems videos are "acting." But maybe they are more over-the-top acting.

i wonder if the Toxic nods are meant as some sort of a jab against the Blackout project, considering In The Zone was her last commercial success?

IMO Gimme More is in top 10 of of worst mainstream songs this century. It's terribly repetitive, cheap sounding, has shoddy lyrics, rubbish vocals and the 'gimme more' hook is quickly forgettable.
It's nowhere near as good as her early songs like Baby One More Time, Ooops I did It did again, Stronger, I'm a Slave For You etc.
I don't own one single or album of hers but I recognize she had very good pop songs in the beginning.
Now they are terrible.

I dont think so, IMO i think she thinks very highly of Toxic as do alot of people and even people that dont dig her or "pop", they have called that song, "perfect". So i think its more of giving people something that they really thought favorably of to kind of erase, not so much the Blackout album which was really good, but to kind of take away from the whole insanity that was going on with her.

they are simialar in tempo's but xtinas a bit more "heavier sounding", but its important to remember that Max Martin is the man that was behind everything they did early on, and someone that still works with them to this day.

And on that note, but off topic, PINK who bitched about the "pop girls" a few albums ago, now is using Max Martin on her album including her new single, interesting double standard she has.

lol It's like a re-make of "Toxic"...except "Toxic" was a waay better song and the video was 10 times better than this one. The best thing Britney has going for her is her fans, because they will support her no matter what she does. Girl can make an album of herself reading the phone book and many of them will go out an buy 5 copies of it just so she can debut at number 1. I still don't get it, don't think I ever will. All I know is that if other artists repeat themselves like this, people want to talk shit about them, but Britney does it and everyone thinks it's great. If rehashing old video ideas and repetitive lyrics is praiseworthy, than I can see why the music industry is slowly falling apart. But, I will say that it's nice to see her looking healthy and trying to keep her personal life private for her sake and her babies.

well, I think that heavier sound comes from Xtina´s voice. I think if one of the girls sang both songs, they´d be the same.

Yeah i dont think she is trying to erase it, but more or less erase it from the minds of people, despite the fact it got the best reviews of any of her records have ever gotten. In terms of sales though, i dont think people should really think its going to be a blockbuster, because the industry is down 20% since "blackout" was released and 60% since "in the zone" plus the fact that her fans are not having her records bought by their parents for them like her early records, shes 27 now, but with that in mind i think the focus should be worldwide, keeping away from any bad press, and possibly doing a tour next year, and doing as much press and videos as she can for this album, and with all that she will easily be back in the good graces of mainstream again

I thhink their is line that has to be drawn, if i sit down and listen to Britney i know what i will get or at least what her limits are. If im listening to the new Norah Jones or Joni Mitchell, i will be more critical mainly because the bar is far higher than Britneys bar. There has to be different expectations that you would have for a Britney record than say a Ryan Adams or Prince album because of what they invest in their work. With that said i do feel that Britney has varied quite a bit at times, more so than others that are POP icons that have more or less rested and started phoning it in.

interesting.

i wonder if the UK was one of her territories at some point? esp. with all the successful Pop acts over there.
