http://www.youtube.com/wa...xx2Sf679xM Mike shows why he is the King. The Groove, his voice is perfect. Nobody can sing like this.Mike in the 80s was playing in another league by his own. He was and still is the Master of modern music.A King! [Edited 10/3/08 7:41am]

It's not a bad song, but I can see why it was left off the album. It's simply not as strong as the other tracks.

Yeah,it's just an average song, isn't it? His vocals sound great but the song itself is dull.

I am a massive fan and I can safely say I f'ing hate this song. Terrible. Off key, and everything. Music is just ok. I can see why it was left off the album, but I cannot figure out for the life of me why it wasn't kept in the vault.
Sorry- Got The Hots induces a bit of a violent reaction in me. www.maximum-jackson.com

Even though the song isn't great,I still think it should have been included on the Thriller 25th Anniversary set. There should have been an entire disc containing the outtakes.

They'll probably do that for the 30th anniversary edition.

I would, however, be interested in all of his studio albums from Off The Wall onwards being given the two-disc treatment, but I don't think it'll ever happen.

Do you have a list of some outtakes from 'Off The Wall'?

Michael's outtakes are generally extremely mediocre. There are some artists who's outtakes are frequently just as good as their best released stuff (Prince, Dylan, Springsteen). MJ is certainly not one of them. And it's not as if he released anywhere near their amount of material either (not counting the teenage stuff he was just a singer on). “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

funkly as hell I actually like it. Not as bad as I expected especially from other outtakes I've heard. More reminiscent of Razzamatazz than what I’d expect from Thriller. Patti Austin would/could be all over those background vocals. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I like it. Nope not as great as the other songs on the album. Sounds a lot like a cross between Thriller and Off The Wall. Not quite a azz shaker. But it's got that Quincy/ Michael vibe. It's enjoyable. They should release it.

Actually, Got The Hots is the "Radio single" for promotion of the King Of Pop albums.
Off The Wall outtakes (the only ones I know of from For The Record) GOIN’ TO RIO Song written by Michael with Carole Bayer Sager circa 1976, and considered for his album, OFF THE WALL. Cited by Michael in his court disposition in November 1993 – remains unreleased. SUNSET DRIVER Written by Michael, and originally scheduled to appear on the expanded, special edition reissue of OFF THE WALL in 2001, but withdrawn. Demo version, recorded in 1982, included on Michael’s THE ULTIMATE COLLECTION box-set, issued in November 2004. THANK YOU FOR LIFE Song written by Michael circa 1976, but failed to make his album, OFF THE WALL. www.maximum-jackson.com

If these songs were written/recorded in 1976,are you sure they were intended for 'Off The Wall' (an album that wasn't even released until late 1979)? Perhaps these songs are outtakes from one of the mid-70s Jacksons albums?

It wouldn't surprise me though- Michael has a history of "saving songs for later" www.maximum-jackson.com
