...From the album Live at the Lighthouse (1972) This is an updated cover of a song originally done by Detroit funk band, The Fabulous Counts. Smokin' guitar, crazy B-3, burnin' sax, Wilton Felder on bass, people hollerin'...Killer jam! My guess is that Soulive knows about this album. The riff Grant hits at around the 2:40 mark is just...

I grew up seeing this album in my dad's collection for years
And that 2:40-ish riff AHHHHH TOO COLD p.s I might be returning to the air sooner than I thought, and I'll keep you and ev'rybody else posted on when and where and what time I'll be on. |

Oh yeah...
Prince digs out of Grant Greens toy box on more than a few songs. I've also just picked up the disk that Grant Green Jr. put together The Godfathers Of Groove (Reuben Wilson, Bernard Purdie, Grant Green Jr.) 
While he's not as good as dad, this disk has it's moments. | |
