I'm worried she won't have enough time to fully recuperate before she hits the road again or she could relapse. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

That's why I say she should postone all of the October shows. This schedule is a mess....it needs to be worked out so that she has a few days to relax between shows.

Maybe 3 or 4 at the most. I really think they are force fitting shows to get this tour off the ground. My take is that they were looking for any opening they could get while minimizing hopping around geographically. But she needs time to recuperate not even so much because of her age but simply because touring and traveling is a bitch on the body and the immune system. If it's not vertigo, it'll be something else especially if she doesn't have a very strong constitution. [Edited 10/6/08 5:42am] Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

[Edited 10/6/08 5:42am] that made me think of colonics and bowel movements ..but I don't think it has anything to do with age- it's a grueling schedule if you are 20. I think this whole tour has been mismanaged. Maybe she's reaping some awful seed she has sown..... LOVE HARD.

Doesn't Janet have these types of problems on every tour? Illnesses,re-scheduled dates, postponements, etc.

Reaping what you sow... could be. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Yes, she does. In fact, my husband just made the same comment over the weekend. There is always something going on to cancel or post-pone her concerts. I have to wonder if some of the reasons have to do with her yo-yo dieting, colonics and other unhealthy practices as she prepares for concerts. These things are very unhealthy and can make some people extremely run-down and ill.

Yeah, they were speculating about this on a local radio station...wondering if Janet's yo-yo dieting is to blame. It's very unhealthy to constantly keep gainng and losing weight like that.

Did you guys mean her previous yo-yo diet catching up with her? I hope she’s not actually dieting right now while on tour. With the schedule she's on she’d shed pounds naturally while eating healthy nutritious foods.
Personally I don’t think the colonics are so bad but it does depend on the frequency and what her diet consists of afterwards. I also think after not being on tour after several years she may be getting a swift reality check that her body can no longer tolerate certain habits and foods that she used to be able to take on without a second thought. What you could indulge in at 34 may make you queasy or give you migraines at 44. That’s natural but maybe it took a toll on her. Is she still doing some sort of fitness book or is it just a blip in a biography? Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

...it would make the book more interesting if she added some chapters about her health during this tour.. LOVE HARD.

If this keeps up the tour is going to be cancelled. Nothing seems to be going right for her. You gotta wonder though...is she really sick or is it she is not doing that well with ticket sales in those areas. I do not want to think that but who knows.

[Edited 10/6/08 5:42am] She needs to adapt the "Rick Springfield" touring agenda, the main reason he has been able to play between 75-100 dates a year since 2000. Basically he goes to a market does 3 shows, and then goes home, visits his wife and kids, tapes General Hospital appearances and then goes back out for a couple of shows and then comes home to LA. It also KEEPS THE SHOWS FRESH! this blueprint would work for everyone and it also lets you recoup and rest, most artists because of straight touring are SOLID the first few weeks and then get a little stale towards the end.
