Tracks from Marlon Jackson's "Baby Tonight" LP

He had a hit single, "Don't Go" which hit number 2 on the charts and Baby Tonight stalled at #57. They left out the best song from this LP, (besides the single "Don't Go") which is "Lovely Eyes." Song is such a jammer.

Remember LaToya's tell-all book that came out in the late 80s? In the book, she claims that Marlon played his album for their mother Katherine. She pretended that she liked it but when Marlon left, she said "Why doesn't Marlon give it up? He can't sing!"

lol

Then when he left, they took it off the record player. It said..they were tapping their toes..acting as if they liked it!

I ain't gonna front. Don't Go was my jam back in 87.
The second single baby tonight was alright but i never heard
the whole album or anything afterwards. I know he was supposed
to release a follow up album that never happened. Well what the hell
happened? lol Talk to me my Jackson family buffs.

Three Jackson brothers not named Jermaine or Michael released albums beween '87 and '89. While Marlon's sold the most (LP went Gold and had a #2 hit single in "Don't Go") most people will agree he had the worst album between Randy & the Gypsies and Jackie "Be The One."

Randy's CD was great ... always felt he was the most underated Jackson. He co-wrote a lot of stuff with Michael while still in his teens and this album had some nice stuff on it. I get the impression he's a bit spoilt and lazy. Besides royalties - which won't be that much these days - how do the Jacksons live? It's not like they are out there playing and touring like so many of their peers from the same era.
