I think Mediatakeout is being run by people who couldn't work at a regular takeout restaurant. Something tells me she is no stranger to recording 70 songs but only using like ten (and later piling some garbage on the heap and adding 10 or so more to a deluxe edition).
And she is really changing the game....you can barely get people to buy one CD....let's go for 7. And something tells me Beyonce ain't making 6 minute epics....she can probably release those 70 "songs" on about 5 discs, easy! This whole thing is dumb....dumb times 70!

What the fuck? She didn't contact them, that's from her official blog. LIARS.
And recording lots of songs is the IDEA behind making an album. @ all the dumbasses in this thread who think the 12 tracks you hear on an album are the ONLY ones the singers record.

that and the fact too.. she's gonna be floodin' it with Hollywood too.. her movie is also dropping at some point...this is her signature move.. drop an album and movie all at once..

Not gonna count but I'm pretty sure she has.DC released about 6 albums with an average of 12 tracks per. She releases 2 solo joints and at least 10 single/soundtrack only tracks. So that's around 100 tracks. PRINCE: Always and Forever

"I wanted to address my fans about my upcoming album. I have worked on this album for close to one year. I have taken the time so I can create my sound. Something that says who I am at this stage in my life. I have poured my heart and soul into it. It is my baby. It is the most time I have spent on any project since my first records as a member of Destiny's Child when I was 15 years old." Wow. If she's serious, this says it all right here. "Close to one year"? "The most time I have spent on any project..."? No wonder her albums are so inconsistent. One year is NOT a lot of time to spend on an album. Many of my favorite albums were years (some, close to a decade!) in the making. It's also very telling that she has 70 songs to choose from in that time frame. That's a lot of material for that time period! For those keeping track, that's more than a new song a WEEK. Beyonce is either working with a lot of songwriters/producers, or the songs are very simple...or both.

Beyonce is either working with a lot of songwriters/producers, or the songs are very simple...or both. This is probably a bunch of tracks that she has been sitting on from each album and even DC days. There was talk of DC reuniting also. Beyonce is looking to get respect, so i can see why she would want to do something like a BOX SET of all new material. But she is beyonce, not Ryan Adams, big difference. Beyonce is a POP star, not a musician, her songs to this point have been catchy at times good at others, terrible at points, but there has not been much if any variety in the theme of what she has done. NOW if she is prepared to not be a HIT then i say more power to you, get artistic, but dont bitch like others do and blame your label when it dont sell! part of being an ARTIST is not giving a shit if it sells, its about pleasing U not your fans. Translation: The new album is shit so we've delayed it trying to come up with something we can dump on you that will at least pass muster for the 12 year olds. And it doesn't matter if it bad as all you suckers will buy it due to the release date being just before Thanksgiving and Christmas hols.

Good for her.
Now, what's with the Beyonce hate on this site? What has she done to warrant it? She's a very good singer, was in a very successful group with some excellent songs and her solo debut album was good.
