GREENSBORO, N.C. (Oct. 5) - Janet Jackson has postponed three more shows because of an undisclosed illness.
Her publicist said in an e-mail late Saturday that Jackson was postponing a Saturday show in Greensboro, N.C., one on Sunday in Atlanta and a third on Tuesday in Fort Lauderdale.

statement from Jackson said she arrived in Greensboro, N.C., hoping to perform there Saturday, but a local doctor advised that she not perform after it became "evident" she was not fully recovered.
Representatives for the 42-year-old singer say she became "suddenly ill" and was hospitalized Monday night in Montreal shortly after she arrived for a show. She also canceled concerts in Boston and Philadelphia on Wednesday and Thursday.
Jackson's publicist did not elaborate Saturday, only saying she was "recuperating." The note said Jackson will return home, at her doctor's direction, for further treatment.
In the note Jackson asked people to keep their tickets for the postponed shows, and said the promoter is working to reschedule dates.
Jackson is on her first North American tour in seven years.

i hope that she is doing okay and its nothing serious.

at the same time, i know for sure that the seats did not sell well for the fort lauderdale show. maybe with the way the economy is causing low ticket sales-it's causing her a lot of stress as they are huge cost in putting together big productions shows and there is pressure to make that money back.

maybe that's what it is or, perhaps its totally unrelated, i dont know. just thinking out loud, but whatever it is i hope her health is okay and she recuperates.

Yeah this sounds serious.She should postpone all the October shows and take a full month to rest and recover.I'm sure the fans will understand.

I hope Janet's okay and that she recovers soon.

i'd like to think it's not about poor ticket sales. that said, there are still good first level seats available for her msg show...so who knows.

I just saw a blip on the news about it. Whatever the situation I'm sure she's disappointed after several years of not touring.

I'd say at 80 % to almost 100 % full should be enough to go on with the tour! Of course I don't know what the numbers for subsequent shows look like! But I don't think they're that much off!

He was playing places like Radio City Music Hall and soldout everywhere.He has since regained his popularity and can now sellout arenas again.Janet should have used this strategy.

People always say "poor ticket sales" because her last three albums underperformed, but truth be told her tour is selling well, better than M's, according to LiveNation, and if u look at the clips on utube the arenas look darn near full. heck, her LA and Vegas shows even sold-out. U just never know when u can get sick.

Poor ticket sales? Nah, I don't believe that. That sad rumor is coming from people that haven't actually been to one of her shows recently to see for themselves how the seats are filling up venue after venue.

I'm getting worried about Janet. This is just too strange. She's never done stuff like this before, at least with so many shows being canceled at one time. Like I said earlier, I hope she will be well enough to do the show I'm supposed to go to on Octber 17th.

If she cancels more shows, I'm convinced Janet's got a baby on the way. "Weird illness" means one thing to me.
