The fastest one to catch fire of all these threads I think. And you're the only one that has so far actually listened to the mix! I am just finishing listening, actually.

And you're the only one that has so far actually listened to the mix! oh man..........I was planning to watch this movie tonight....it's on right now but I just let the music go. What I also like is that fact that the music is easy to listen to, something I like. I don't dig into lyrics too much, which is probably the explanation of the fact that the mixes can all be interpreted in so many ways (as I realize that some of you do dig into the lyrics so much).

Yours listens away very easy! I don't consider myself to be a music nerd, I don't have time for that.....I just like to enjoy music as it comes.

So. Just finished. Like I said, text-wise; Boys For Pele. It's like an excorsism. I love the flow of the songs, very natural. I need a few more listens to let it all sink in, but first utter fave are Murk and The Mechanical Forces Of Love, both never heard fo them and they made a smashing impression.
I will be listening some more to this one, Richard. Thanks for the liner notes also.

I'm at work so I haven't streamed them joints yet but.
I am super impressed with the notes, and putting up the original artwork of the source albums

I will be listening some more to this one, Richard. Thanks for the liner notes also. You know, I cannot tell you how absolutely honored I am that you see it that way. It is a cleansing I hadn't quite thought of it that way but it is a journey from the darkest days of my life to a newfound place where there is nothing but light. . This mix looks pretty awesome. I'll post on it in a couple days or so. I had to orgnote half of the org to get my thread to reach fire status. This is why NWF doesn't like Supa.

Wow, one day I've been gone and so much to read! Hot damn, luckily I can take the music with me and play it over and over. I didn't even had to woo Supa for it!
When quickly reading through your tracks, I thought I wouldn't know a single track, let alone an artist on your mix. However from track 6 on up, I knew all of them and I own some albums to boot! I guess I live in your 'garden' state of mind, whilst not being aware of the hell below! Even thought it's not an all funk mix, I think I'm gonna enjoy it just the same! First Sexton, then Supa. Funny, you two have been so active in this whole thing, bouncing back and forth ideas for this undertaking. I love finally being able to listen to your babies. We planted the seeds in june and july, and now I'm enjoying the fruits of your labor! (Yes, Supa, I know it's been like childbirth for you! ) The thing is, your liner notes won't fit in a regular cd booklet! ps. Whoops: I winked!

You guys have no idea how exhausted I am from this project I was even still working on this thing over the weekend! And just wait till you see my other thread! It wouldn't fit in one single post! It's amazing how different the popular music culture is here in the states vs Europe. From cut #6 to the end, I owned/knew all the artists from my own musical ventures, minus Siobhan. I know her beause of the Princess Matronik So far, the Europeans have been familiar with what I thought would be not so known acts. I have a feeling that won't be the same with my American friends. But maybe I'm wrong considering how big music freaks everyone in this project is I would like to point out, unlike Marie Anxtoinette, that I have been fully engaged with this project! Everyone is bringing their A Game and I kind of think of these mixes as our own personal Trump cards. Or like a pokemon game, these being our ultimate secret weapons I listened to your mix last night Even added tracks to my favorites Thank you so much for your effort in keeping things organized and alive. That goes for the most Gorgeous Dutchie on Planet Earth, Hammyhue . [Edited 9/29/08 15:44pm] 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740
