I remember hearing earlier this year that The Jackson's albums were going to be re-released, remastered, and with bonus tracks. Anyone know what happened? Are they still in the works? I don't see anything on Amazon. I am dying to get nice, crystal clear copies of Destiny and Triumph. The original CDs sound quality SUCKS...even my old played-out vinyl copies sound better.

I got 'em. Both sound much better. Destiny sounds better than Triumph though for some reason. Probably has something to do with the way they were originaly mixed. Triumph sounds more processed.

What about the other albums,'The Jacksons'(1976) and 'Goin Places'(1977)...weren't these supposed to be remastered too?

According to Amazon.com the release date for the remasters has now been pushed back to January 27, 2009.

I just got back from Circuit City.Got both remasters Each CD was only $11.99.So yeah....these CDs have definitely been released!

These remasters are AMAZING! A huge improvement over the original CDs which had bad sound quality.It's sad that Prince won't remaster his own albums.The fans are really missing out.
