Michael Jackson-Whatever Happens the best Song of the 21th yet?

In my opinion Michael Jacksons "Whatever Happens" is the best pop song written in the 21 th century yet.I cannot think of another song that can challenge it.
His voice is so strong prefect it is out of this world.
So can you name one song that is this good? I have all Prince albums for example from 2000 to 2008 and Prince hasn´t written one song this good with such a strong voice.Listen to his voice at 2:25 when he sings "He tried to explain" The best voice work I´ve heard in a very long time-masterful!

Imagine if Michael would release this song tommorrow with a strong video. The song would crush anything on radio today(only pure shit on radio today) and would become a number 1 hit around the world it doesn´t get any better than this. So as a jazz fan and big fan of Miles Davis and Monk for me this is a perfect song and the only "perfect" song in the 21th century yet.Normally I only listen to jazz and classical music because pop makes my ears bleed with few exceptions like- Prince, Elvis, Frank Sinatra, the Beatles, Marvin Gaye, Little Richard, James Brown etc.
I released how great this song was when I was driving in my car. I had this song on a compilation with other songs like: When the lights go down, Power Fantastic, pink cashmere, who is it,Let it Go, Come, tutu etc. And I listened 3 weeks to this cd driving home from work and I released that "Whatever Happens" was the strongest track on an already great compilation.

It’s a beautiful song. One of my favorite off the album if not the best. However, I always thought he sounded like he had a cold and that sort of spoils it for me.

An orger even mentioned maybe he should have re-recorded it but I can’t remember who. But great song nonetheless.

Don’t know why he just didn’t take his own money and film a live video performance with just him and Santana.

Brilliant song, but this is a purely subjective opinion, as stated above, so I have to say no, this is not the best song of the 21st century. Good song, yes, but certainly not the BEST, IMO. Of course, this is my opinion.

i like it alot. but that "mouth" situation that was going on at the time made th track a lil bit unbearable. like he was trying to push the words out. sounds painful eek

I don't know about it being the best song this decade, but it's definitely one of the best if not the best on Invincible and would have become an instant hit. I don't understand why michael didn't continue promoting his music despite trouble with the label the way janet has.

This is the best song on 'Invincible' music Sony was crazy for not realizing the hit potential of this song! Carlos Santana's guitar playing is mesmerizing.

Well, they actually did, along with Break Of Dawn, Speechless and Unbreakable.
But the singles were cancelled once it was known that Mike wasn't going to record any future music for the label.

His vocals sound shot to ribbons in places on this song. Nowhere near as good as Butterflies or Break of Dawn, in my opinion.

It charted on Billboard's R&B chart through airplay alone but was never scheduled for official release.
