Have any of you guys heard the Emmy and the Emmys CD? It's a bootleg containing live recordings from 1980 when Madonna fronted this band.I gotta get that one!

The gotham demos, together with semi-official In the begining material S. Bray released, would have done a kiss-ass album!

I love these demos, even if they are a little MOR rock for my liking. Its weird comparing this demo to her Sire demo tape. In a way these are far more commercial - but she was certain and confident of her direction even back then. The Emmys stuff is good too also. She'd be crazy not to do some kind of anthology to get this stuff collected together. Theres another tape called the Shamrock tapes which has unreleased Emmy demos such has 'Tell The Truth' the first song she ever wrote. Id love to hear them collected together to outline the journey from the Emmys through Gotham to her Sire demo tape.

01. Take Me (I Want You) 02. Love On The Run 03. Get Up 04. Society's Boy (High Society) It's so nice to have these in cd quality! I saw this really, really bad Madonna tell-all back in the early 90s. It was after Blonde Ambition had wrapped. They played a clip of "Love On The Run" during the show and I can still freakin' remember it! The chorus was so darned catch! ("Get out the door with your love on the run/Get out the door, you're just no fun!"). They also played a clip of her sitting in a limo singing "Aquarius/Let The Sunshine." I got all sad and depressed after watcing the show because it features some of Madonna's Blonde Ambition dancers talking smack about her, and at the time I was in love with "Truth or Dare" and thought they all got along so well and would stay friends forever. Ah, to be young and naive like that again... "She made me glad to be a man"
