I stumbled on his stuff accidentally, while I was on the Sonar Kollektiv site, lookin' for Jazzanova-related stuff---I ended up downloading all of his albums,


I think my favorite is his tune, Me and my Guitar--for some reason, I can't stop listening to that.....

Bennie is getting some mentions outside this little ol' country of mine? Yeah, right on! I think his albums have been getting better and better. Bennie at home is my fave. Also, another dutchie, Wouter Hamel has had his album written by Bennie. Wouter Hamel is a bit smooth, but you can hear Bennie in the arrangements. It's like the crooners, but with a wink and a smile, like Harry Connick does. That makes it okay in my book.
