Girls Aloud premiere super sexy classy video for "The Promise"

How to be sexy without throwing it in your face is something that alot of American artists male and female need a lesson on, and Girls Aloud are prime examples of Sexy without trying. Their new video is another great gem, the song is yet another turn in sound somewhat, the album is due in November (their 6th) the single in October and is shaping up to be continue their streak (longest ever) of top 10's.

Dismissing these girls as "spice girls" clones, is MORONIC. I liked the Spice Girls but they are not even in the ballpark of Girls Aloud, the Spice Girls were for the most part a gimmick and a creation that could not go further. Girls Aloud's last album and singles sold more than their first ones, which is unheard of in the POP forum, you usually lose fan base not gain as go along.

The Spice Girls were much more successful than Girls Aloud and had better songs.
Spice Girls were huge internationally including the US whereas Girls Aloud are only big in the UK.
They had an interesting personality while Girls Aloud are bland.
Girls Aloud are a manufactured group formed on a reality television contest.

Well its all opinion, and actually the Girls have had more hits than the Spice Girls, u cant compare sales because times are different, Spice Girls didnt function in the online era, they were done by album 3

Also they may have come from a tv show, but you can only get away with that excuse for one album or single, not 6, sorry, not a good point. also SPICE was the most manufactured from the "nicnames" to the outfits, i was a fan back in the day or them, but there is no comparison, plus the Girls sound alot better.

And as far as territories Girls Aloud have only been issued in the UK and Ireland where they have had alot of success, the other markets havent even seen them or had them released so again, moot point. And Girls Aloud have toured more, 5 times to date.

its perfection, they continue to surprise and impress me. I know there is a thread about Fave girl group and i would have to give it to them, i wasnt witness to the supremes era, so i cant pick them, and most other girl groups dont have "catalogs" at least 5 records is a "catalog" to me

The sucess @ their fun pop mission. And that makes me respect them. Also they have the Xenomania machine behind then. And that's quality production

The unique blending of their voices is perfect, showing mastermind producing, plus they outlived the "tv mania" stage a long time ago, that excuse for their success cannot be used anymore because thats so far gone and they have gained success and have no show on tv

The reason their songs are not released elsewhere is because they are not good enough for their intended markert. That's the difference between them and the Spice Girls. Both their music is not very deep nor are they great singers but the songs of the Spice Girls are more catchy with better hooks.
