Any Wayne Brady Fans? Ever since I heard him sing on Who's Line Is it Anyway? I have thought he needed to put out a cd,and now he finally has. Anyone planning on getting it or got it already? Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life. ~Berthold Auerbach

I had it on very good authority that the album was pretty good.
Honestly, I wouldn't have believed it but the source has serious cred so I listened. The material is definitely not for the tragically hip and trendy crowd. And yeah, it's easy to crack on the fact that it's Wayne Brady. All I can say is that the brother can sing. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I'm white, aren't I? Of course I love Wayne Brady!
He's actually really talented. Kind of an old fashioned entertainer, but that doesn't make him worse. In some ways it makes him better I doubt I'd buy his cd, but yeah he seems like a good guy, especially after seeing him on Chappelle. Anyone who can laugh at themselves is okay w/me. My Legacy

Loved him on Whose Line!!! Let's hope he doesn't try to do what Jaime Foxx did and try to appeal to young urban listeners. Stick to the ballads and sexy R&B grooves. PLEASE!!!!!

It's always difficult when an actor or comedian tries to crossover to being a singer and be taken seriously.
I just listened to a few 30 second samples and agree with tA, Wayne can sing and you don't go covering A Change is Gonna Come unless you can really bring it. But even though I can see this and think he's got something I still have a hard time treating it seriously and what's with wearing the tie on the cover? Is tthat supposed to make me think better of it? I think it would have been cool if he put it out under a fake name and didn't put his photo on the jacket... you know, made us take him and his ability totally on it's own merits and then only cop to it later that it was him after moving some product and getting some good reviews. I wish him well with this but you know it's hard out there for an actor to pimp himself as a singer even if he's damn good.

This is the image I can't get out of my mind when people talk about him being a singer. Dude can sing but I just need to shake the goofy image out of my mind.

Okay, so I had jokes. But I had to go listen for myself, and I must say; I like every song on the CD. His style reminds me a bit of Tomi Jenkins solo projects, maybe with a little more of a gospel flair. Good music, good singer, nice looking guy... okay, I'm sold. It's grown folks music.
