Janet at the Sports Arena aka IPay ONe Center

I went to see Janet at the Sports Arena in San Diego last night. The arena was about 75% full. Alot of the side upper sections were compeletly empty. I was middle in the back a few rows off of the floor. I was a little worried about the set, because from the photos I saw it didn't make sense. However it did work out. The lights were amazing, the projections were lame, the costumes are hideous, but the set list is great and the arrangments work really well. The staging was great too. They really worked that stage. I had fun and I'm happy I went. The crowd was very mixed. Saw a group of 70ish white women, and of course the gays were out in force. She still has the most diverse audience at a concert that I've ever seen.

Over all I have to give it B+

My third time seeing the show! I was there too. By far the weakest crowd in terms of number (it looked really empty up top) but it was fantastic in spirit. The crowd was the craziest I've seen so far after 'Together Again.'

I finally sat in further away (Cheap) seats this time and I'm glad I did because I got more of a feel for the production as a whole. I have to hand it to Gil - seeing all the dancers in more detail and his direction/staging, it worked incredibly well. The catwalk is amazing, and the effects, trap doors - this is one stellar production.

AFTER having seen the RW tour in Oakland, LA and SD, I'd say these are the definite highlights for me:

Pleasure Principle
Miss You Much
Come Back to Me
So Much Betta
Nasty
Young Love/Say You Do/Don't Stand Another Chance
Got Til It's Gone
Thats The Way Love Goes
Funny How Time Flies
If (love the intro arrangement)
I'll leave it alone babe...just be me
