Voices (Orchestral Version)...another version of this madonna song leaked! Before Timbaland ruined it!

After the early version "Is this love? (Bon D'accord) leaked, an alternate mix leaked...

I love it!

No vocoder...and not timbaland beats! A MASTERPIECE!

but probably the same source who gave this alternate version may have some other outtakes or alternate versions from HC!
I'd DIE to have the other 5 songs M. did with Jt and Timbaland!!
Also I'd like to know how many leftovers there are from her work with Pharrell. Or if he wrote other songs for her, she did reject.

This song and "Spanish Lesson" are the only two songs from Hard Candy that I don't like."Voices" is bland and I think it's boring way to end an otherwise vibrant album. Before the album was released,Madonna described "Voices" as a "psychological mind fuck" so I was expecting something really edgy and exciting.

Yeah,I wanna hear the other 5 Timbaland tracks too.I was hoping that Madonna would use a few of these song on the upcoming Greatest Hits set,but it appears that there wo't be any new songs at all.Timbaland has hinted that he will use a few of these songs on his own next album. In particular,I really wanna hear "Across The Sky".From the way it has been described,it is probably similiar to "Miles Away" which I love.

"Some songs" on SV2... I doubt that! i'm glad there will be ONE! But yea, it seems to be the case...
Fans speculate whether it will be Across the Sky or La,La... Maybe it will be a completely different song. Would be fine with me as well. I simply want some more songs fom that colaboration!

BTW, SoulAlive, have you ever considered that Across the Sky may be an early version of Miles Away???

No,"Across The Sky" is an entirely different song. It's not "Miles Away".According to Madonnatribe,it tells the story of a woman who is quite disenchanted by love,a woman who knows deception,a woman who lied and has been lied to...a woman who admits she is not a saint but finally finds a new love and is ready to travel "across the sky" with him.Musically, the song contains alot of acoustic guitars and has a very catchy chorus.Justin Timberlake is featured prominently on background vocals.

From the way Timbaland has described "La La",it's probably a really wild, outrageous tune! I think this is exactly how 'Hard Candy' should have ended....with a couple of funky, wicked Timbaland jams.Something along the lines of Missy's "Work It".

Yeah, your surely know how he described La,La as Lucky Star (or Holiday?) with s beat like "Ugly" (i can't remmeber the rapper's name):

I'd like to have more funky tracks as well, unfortunately most Timbaland tracks are ballads.

I think Timbaland wanted to play a larger role in this album.Last summer,he proudly revealed that he came up with 10 tracks for the album.I think he had his own ideas about the direction he wanted to take Madonna in.It's amazing that she mostly used his slower music."4 Minutes" is the only truly uptempo track from Timbaland."Dance 2Night" and "Miles Away" are midtempo."Voices" and "Devil Wouldn't Recognize You" are almost ballads.I like 'Hard Candy' alot but I would have liked to hear it the way Timbaland envisioned it.

SoulAlive, do you remember when M started to work with Jt and TImbaland?? I'd like to reconstruct teh working process.

She most have started work on HC in January 2007 with Pharrell Williams. The first song was "Candy Shop".
Then we only know that PW wrote demos for Heartbeat, Ring My Bell and Spanish Lesson aroudn the same time probably and that the first version of "Beat Goes On" was finished before August.
In December (or late November) Kanye West recorded his rap for the official version.

I believe M first started work with JT and imbaland in April. The first song they wrote together was "Miles Away", and I believe "Voices" was there too, as well as an eraly version of "4 Minutes".

does anyone know when they worked again???

Around August they must have done 10 tracks with her. including La,La and Across The Sky.

She started working with Timbaland and Justin in April 2007 (as you pointed out) and yes,"Miles Away" was the first track they recorded. She went back into the studio with them in September 2007.My guess is that, during those 6 months,Timbaland and Justin probably came up with a batch of new songs on their own, which they presented to her in September.

mmmh, of which most of them never have been released?? I mean, they did MA, Voices and a bit of 4 Minutes in spring and probably Devil was there as well.

The only thing left is Dance 2Nite and the other songs we don't know...

I'm guessing that "Miles Away","Across The Sky","Devil" were among the first tracks recorded. They probably began "4 Minutes" at these early sessions too, then completed it later.Making it a duet with Justin was a last-minute decision,I think.I bet it was originally conceived as a solo Madonna song.

I won't rest until we hear those 5 unreleased songs! lol

me too. but probably Timbaland was not exactly. I mean, he might just have said it were ten songs but in reality there are only 8 or 9. Who knows how accurate Timbaldn is? He's a pretender!

Anyway SoulAlive, the source that provided us those rare Madonna songs said around xmas there will be more surprises. Since he's only had those Pharrell demos I cross my finger he might have other HC session songs as well!!!

There was a huge article about the making of 4 Minutes in a musician's magazine. was too technical for me.

Sounds nice but would have been out of place on the album.

I love how Timbaland gets all the bashing for "ruining" it, but the credits say "All instruments by Danja". razz
