Foo Fighters going on indefinite hiatus... is this the break-up we have all been hoping for?
Foo Fighters are set to take a "long break" from music and have warned fans not to expect a new album any time soon.
Frontman Dave Grohl told BBC Radio 1 DJ Chris Moyles that the band were set to go on hiatus then return with a new sense of purpose further down the line. "We've never really taken a long break, I think it's time," he said. The former Nirvana drummer continued: "After doing Wembley [the band played Wembley Stadium on June 6 and 7] we shouldn't come back there for 10 years because we've played to everybody. "We're over in the UK every year, every summer, so I think it's time to take a break and come back over when people really miss us." http://www.nme.com/news/f...ters/39761 RIP 1958-2016 Prince RIP 1947-2016 David Bowie

Every act's got to hang up their show sometime. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

I thinks Dave's on the money. They have toured alot. People will be more than ready for some Foos in say 3 years or so...if they choose to carry on.
One of the best shows I've ever been to was when I shot this video a few months ago... Was a grande performance. Couldn't ask for anything more from a stadium rock show! Cheers for giving it a gutsful Dave! _ Music, sweet music, I wish I could caress and...kiss, kiss...

Together with QOTSA and Eagles Of Death Metal, the Foo's are one of the last real rock acts that know how to entertain a crowd.....no matter whether it's 60.000 people on a festival or 100 in a small club. I have seen them live twice (last time was this summer) and both times have been great. Dave is probably the nicest and funniest guy in rock, I will miss them!
That said, I totally agree with Dave!
