I completely understand what you mean.
She sounds good on paper. lol

Its not that she's bad but she's a bit underwhelming compared to what you'd expect the "idea" of her to be.

I dunno. I don't see her aging one bit since she released her second album.
Everything sounds / looks the same.

Right..her album back from 2001 was good..and "Lady Marmalade" was nice, but
something is lacking on her stuff after that. She lost me after, "Just Like A Pill."

i know exactly what you mean about her. i love pink and i think she's great but her songs don't have enough "bite" for lack of a better word for her feirce attitude and look. i do like the new single though so hopefully the album will be good.

there was some weird special on VH1 a few years back where they gave her a "showcase" to sing a handful of songs live, and she also did a duet with steven tyler. she kicked ass. her voice was amazing and she had really great stage presence. i've never seen her do anything before or after that tv special that impressed me, but at least i was able to see that she really does have the potential to be a great performer. shrug

She's all rebellious 'n stuff, in the safest way possible.

Though I like her, I think the act is getting a bit tired.

I want to confess something. A few weeks ago I was listening to that "U & Ur Hand" -thing on a loop for hours on Ut00b.

boxed

... and "Who Knew" is the best selling out -song The Cure never did.

I can see where you are coming from here... when I saw the new vid I liked it but thought it was alot like her old ones and the tune. Shes a good artist so I hope she progresses and sticks around.

I agree with you 100% Pink's proven she can be as hard and rebellous with the rest of them, it's time for something new. She has such a great voice, I'd like to see her do something else musically. She switched it up in 2001, she can do it again.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Does putting a foot on an album cover sell records?

I just watched the new video. It's fine and everything that she's willing to show a degree of self-irony for the subject matter in it (the hair on fire and other things that just might go unnoticed for most), but there's a huge problem with the whole concoction from the outset. A very personal track might be an okay album cut for a pop music release, but it shouldn't be the lead-off single for your new album project, especially when accompanied by an expensive video.

Nobody cares about your personal issues.

"So What" doesn't do much for me but I usually have a high regard for her singles. I might buy the older albums first.
