Its not that she's bad but she's a bit underwhelming compared to what you'd expect the "idea" of her to be.

there was some weird special on VH1 a few years back where they gave her a "showcase" to sing a handful of songs live, and she also did a duet with steven tyler. she kicked ass. her voice was amazing and she had really great stage presence. i've never seen her do anything before or after that tv special that impressed me, but at least i was able to see that she really does have the potential to be a great performer.

At least she sings live and does it well, unlike morst artists that get bummed up in here.

She's all rebellious 'n stuff, in the safest way possible.

Though I like her, I think the act is getting a bit tired.

Does putting a foot on an album cover sell records?

I just watched the new video. It's fine and everything that she's willing to show a degree of self-irony for the subject matter in it (the hair on fire and other things that just might go unnoticed for most), but there's a huge problem with the whole concoction from the outset. A very personal track might be an okay album cut for a pop music release, but it shouldn't be the lead-off single for your new album project, especially when accompanied by an expensive video.

Nobody cares about your personal issues.

"So What" doesn't do much for me but I usually have a high regard for her singles. I might buy the older albums first.
