Michael Jackson: The Way You Love Me

I totally adore this track. Most fans don't think it's cool. Many prefer In The Back over THIS, but hasn't it got a lovely melody? And a sweet ending?? It has a typical Michael Jackson feel... because it's joyous, sweet and yet sad and lonely as well...
As said before, I really love this song. I guess it's an Invincible outtake??

Love it.

where i think his music should be taken now.

cuz sum of the love songs on invincible were too "young" for him. they were nearly laughable.

strip this song down, its nothing but a soulful motown type song = the type of lovesong he should be doing now for his age

I preferred Fall Again. Someone Put Your Hand Out is my favourite MJ ballad. It says everything about his persona, it's not sexual at all, just a yearning for some sort of understanding and companionship in life.

Nvncible1 is right about the teenage feel of his Invincible ballads. Remember The Time worked because it was specifically talking about the past. You can't be in your 30's\40's\50's and trying write love songs that teenagers can appreciate.

there's a song from the 60's or 70's that reminds me of the opening of the song, I heard it on the radio a few days ago.

that's true. But you gotta remember that some of the love songs were for children or children inspired (he said that in several interviews) for example Speechless, You Are My Life.

Break Of Dawn is just silly, because noone can imagine "making love til the break of dawn" yeat alone that anyone thinks he ever did.

Agree. I love the song, too.

1. No, it isn´t silly. I love it.

Break Of Dawn is the style of song people complained about that it sounds like a teenage love song.

There´s nothing teenage about it to me. I love the natural sounds in the music. It´ s just beautiful. It´s only weak point melodically to me is the chorus. Otherwise it´s perfect.

Nice song! music It's amazing that, when he was putting the 'Invincible' album together,he had no shortage of excellent ballads and slow jams. It's the uptempo tracks that aren't very good, imo.

EXACTLY! That's what I've always said. The fastsongs are terrible. Can you dance to them? And also he needed 4 other people to write this crap?

He had enough ballads with beautiful melodies, but... Escape is rubbish as well.

nod He should have kept the slower tracks (including "The Way You Love Me") and did some kickass uptempo jams with a different producer.

Well, I am not that crazy about Heartbreaker, Invincible etc, even though they´re ok, but nothing special, but I like Escape and 2000 watts - I love his deep voice on these. I just like these two.

don't misunderstand me, I don't want to argue. Everyone has his own taste/opinion. But for me 2000 Watts is the biggest joke MJ ever did.I think it#s totally uncool but you could tell he and Teddy thought it would be a huge smash,

It's probably the most emberassing Mj song since "Mind Is The Magic"!!

I think that song was supposed to appear on Tyrese's album of the same name. I think Tyrese is listed either as a writer or background vocalist on it.

I remember reading an interview with Tyrese and he mentioned that the song 2000 watts was not included on his album because MJ wanted it.

That's correct.I do recall Tyrese saying that "2000 Watts" is a song that he was gonna use for his own album....until MJ heard it and demanded that they give it to him instead.

They should have let Tyrese keep it cause it sucked ass and it helped make Invincible one shitty album.

falloff@ The "2000 Watts" hate, damn even most fans seem to hate this song with a passion. I thought it was different for Mike, I don't love it, but I don't dislike it as much as so many others seem to.

Anyway, "The Way You Love Me" is an okay song with good vocals from MJ as always, but that's it. It's nothing to write home about. I find it to be more irritating than anything actually, the whole song basically consists of him saying "Oooooo" 10 million f**king times, over and over and over and over again. Anytime I listen to that song I can't get that part of the song out of my head for the rest of the day and it's annoying as all hell. Funny enough tho, I love "In The Back" and that barely has any lyrics, but "The Way You Love Me" is just kinda annoying to me.

MJ has better unreleased tracks than this one, but it's a decent enough song I guess lol.
"And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ heart

"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always heart

I never can understand why people keep slagging of 'Invincible', to this day I don't know why its dissed constantly.

As for the song, cool groove and very melodic.....thats my MJ!

When I first listened to The Way You Love Me (in 2004) the endng reminded me of Stevie Wonder. He did that in so many songs as well, gong up several semitones at the end of a song.

As for "In The Back"... I'm not sure there's a whole version. It sounds rather ordinary and generic for me. It was done around 1996, right??

There's something quite sweet and innocent about The Way You Love Me. It sounds unusually carefree - something which his music has seriously lacked since the early 80s. I think that's why I like it.

We've Had Enough is my jam though. If that had been included on Invincible in place of Cry it would've turned the album from "below par" to "acceptable".
