Jay-Z Performs Free Concerts

Jay-Z will play two free concerts this weekend in support of voter registration and the campaign of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama for the upcoming U.S. presidential election.

The first show is set for Saturday (Oct. 4) at Detroit's Cobo Arena. Jay-Z will play Miami's Bayfront Park Amphitheatre the following day. Voter registration for the upcoming election ends Monday.

In Michigan, attendees 18 years and older can obtain tickets at a variety of Obama campaign offices; information is available here.

Jay-Z is the latest high-profile artist to sign on for Obama benefits. Yesterday, Bruce Springsteen and Billy Joel announced an Oct. 16 fundraiser at New York's Hammerstein Ballroom.

Even though Obama wants to tax the people who make $250,000 and up and help us lower and middle class people out to balance the economy...I think celebrities are actually thinking with the right mind and not their pocketbooks.
