Is it me or Akon's Konvict music label is making an onslaught into the music biz?

They have:

Lady GaGa
Colby O

And several boring shit-hopers!

Kat Deluna is exactly what would be if JLO and Xtina had a kid, she has the same exact singing style that Xtina has, and also Melody of PCD has, they must teach that shit in school now. Im not really feeling the whole AKON label, Colby O is kind of like a cross between Johnny O and Screech, but his video director did use this girl i know in one of the vids so props for that, Lady GaGa is cool, but there again, if i heard of all of this before, i heard her track on the NKOTB album and her style on that track is very forced, and she almost is coming off as trying to be a latina on it.

No this is where i differ with alot of people, voice and being able to sing are 2 very different things. Someone told me that they thought that Melody from PCD could front that group, i said are you freaking kidding, she has no clue on vocals, you cant just do a couple of acrobatic yelps and call yourself a singer with a good voice and thats what most of these ladies are being molded into. They teaching and style sucks.

Is it true that the new PCD lp will have more of the girls doing the lead vox?

Each girl gets a lead, which to me is great because the "wild card" who no one every mentions, Jessica Sutta, is the one to watch for, not for any amazing voice, but a great dance style. Im curious to hear Ashleys (the hotter blonde) because she has never had a lead at all at any point.

I have to say that I have high expectations for this lp. Strangely I have not listened to any songs of this new album (Knowing on how I jump when anything leaks).

Any words on producers?

Oh OK, see I'm not too familiar with PCD as you are so I wasn't too sure. Thanx for clearing that up, lol.

Its been up and down on the producers since they shelved some and went to others, overall there were 28 songs done, prodcuers ranged from Timbaland,Dream,Polow,Rodney Jerkins,Cee-lo and some others a couple from england, but the question is what will make the record. They decided that the 2nd single would be "whatcha think about that" and now they are moving to something different, they have a track called "Bottle Pop" and "take over the world" that are easy singles.

Yeah it just bugs me with these Vocal acrobats. If people remember back in the in 80's on Star Search there was this dude Sam Harris, the first white dude signed to Motown, well he won that show doing "over the rainbow" every week by hitting this note at the end and held it over and over, and then for a whole freaking decade everyone on every show who sang that song did the sam harris note.

I'd love hear them do more songs like Hot Stuff (I Want You Back). I am a massive fan of the original version from Siobhan Fahey, a pop music genious (Shakespear's Sister/Bananarama), a Richard X colab or even some songs produced by Klas Åhlund.

Would be nice to see them doing some Robyn-esque tunes.

The album is gonna be edgier, there was a David Aude mix for When I grow UP which had Nicole re-recording vocals from the Original and some cool vocal tricks using distortion sounding almost like a u2 track sped up. The target with this album once again is OVERSEAS, they will do a little promo here but the majority of it will be in other countries, and their tour is gonna be heavy on the rest of the world, including going to Russia?

Well She's flopping. I guess she's becoming a cult artist. I think Just Dance went Top 3 in Australia or New Zealand.

I loved the mix he did of Sting's Send your love.

Nice to see that N did new vocals. Just like Mimi.

I actually remembered that fool! lol Or at least I saw him perform that song on a video and he held that fucking note for what seemed like a YEAR! lol If I'm not mistaken, that was his tribute to Patti, lol.

Yeah i mean sales really are not happening for anyone, but she does bring something new to the table and gets that respect, which is more important if you wanna carry on.

Also she has a great marketing machine behing her. Initially I resisted the hype (Katy Perry was such a disapointment)...then I gave it a try.

Like you said: She's nothing new. Still she has great pop tunes like Paparazi
