Boards Of Canada

Ever since having found the road back to Electronic music lately due to a slight infusion of amazing music I am rediscovering old loves and discovering new bands.

Here's the video for Boards Of Canada's Dayvan Cowboy, I love that tune...

That's some awesome videography.

The music... well not so much. I would say Boreds of Canada.

Glad you didn't take that as a personal insult Huey. Musical taste is so subjective. I just saw the opportunity for a pun and couldn't pass it up. smile

I'll tell you the ambient disc that I just can't seem to take out of rotation lately is Disc 2 from Moby's Hotel release.

It's a style very different from him and he's really good at it. I put it on while I'm writing. It really juices my creativity.

I actually laughed out loud for real at that pun, so don't worry.

Hehehe. You said Moby. We do not like Moby much. Moby is just a commercial composer. Moby is a faker. We'd like to kick Moby. Especially for making the most uninteresting MTV Cribs episode EVER.

Well yeah, Moby the vegetarian, intellectual nerd doesn't generate a hell of a lot of star-like charisma or get into trouble for the tabloids on weekly basis and I'll not make any claims one way or the other about his popular music output but his Ambient disc from Hotel is a whole other animal.

A fair test would be for me to anonomously play you a few different ambient discs that you were not familiar with and ask you what your reaction is.

If you didn't know it was him you might say, "Damn, that's some good shit right there. Who is it?"

And I'd say, "I hate to break it to you but it's that fake-ass poser, Moby." lol

My coworker is a huge Boards Of Canada fan. She LOVES, LOVES, LOVES them.

The only song I've heard previously by BoC was the one from the Morvern Callar movie and soundtrack. The song in the first post sounds cool.
