lollapalooza '08 was my main concert excursion this summer. i bypassed a lot of other stuff and compressed a lot of music fun into one weekend. it wasn't hard to do because not a lot of people i like came to MPLS over the summer (though i DID get to see sharon jones again on my birthday, woo hoo!).
for some crazy reason, they're all hitting MPLS in the fall. if you were asking who i'm ABOUT to see, it would be one hell of a crazy list: beck/MGMT stereolab magnetic fields kimya dawson liz phair (performing "exile in guyville"  )

Well, there was: Kylie Minogue Europe/Queensryche/Alter Bridge Iggy & the Stooges Kiss Cavalera Conspiracy The Bangles (twice) Diana Ross The B-52s Billy Idol (twice) Twisted Sister/Kamelot/Hanoi Rocks/White Lion Madonna All of them were great, no disappointments!
