Summer's over-who did you see?

Erykah Badu
Stevie Wonder
DeBarge/Switch/SOS Band
NIN/The Ting Tings/Chromeo/Love and Rockets/Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings/Jamie Lidell
BBD/Mint Condition/Troop/RFTW
George Michael

George Michael was definately my favorite show this year or even ever.

I still got Tricky and Tina Turner left to go.

Switch-good. SOS Band-good. El Debarge was a hot ghetto mess. ;disbelief:

I just love when my childhood crush talks about getting pussy in front of his mom and Bunny.

Ya know Tim, they really shouldn't bill it as DeBarge is only 3 members of the group are there. lol

El, Bunny and Randy were there along with Chico. They did do a killer version of I Call Your Name. nod

lollapalooza '08 was my main concert excursion this summer. i bypassed a lot of other stuff and compressed a lot of music fun into one weekend. it wasn't hard to do because not a lot of people i like came to MPLS over the summer (though i DID get to see sharon jones again on my birthday, woo hoo!).

for some crazy reason, they're all hitting MPLS in the fall. if you were asking who i'm ABOUT to see, it would be one hell of a crazy list:

beck/MGMT
stereolab
magnetic fields
kimya dawson
liz phair (performing "exile in guyville" drool )
M83
sigur ros

I'm hoping to see Sigur Ros and Tricky ~ and k.d.lang if she comes near Detroit. Liz Phair would be great to see too! And, ever hopeful, Diamanda. lurking

Hmm... this summer?
Well, there was:

Kylie Minogue
Europe/Queensryche/Alter Bridge
Iggy & the Stooges
Kiss
Cavalera Conspiracy
The Bangles (twice)
Diana Ross
The B-52s
Billy Idol (twice)
Twisted Sister/Kamelot/Hanoi Rocks/White Lion
Madonna

All of them were great, no disappointments! The only disappointment was Prince cancelling his Dublin concert!
