When you become older than your Idols?

Isnt it strange when you become older than your favourite musicians. I recently turned 28 and it really puts things into prospective because when you reach this age youve outlived a whole load of talented musicians who died at 27. I mean hendrix, cobain, jim morrison, brain jones all died before they got to my age. I mean to think hendrix performed that amazing show at woodstock when he was younger than me blows my mind it makes you feel like giving up the guitar.

I'm 19 and one of my Idol is Madonna. I'm not sure how I'd react if I'd suddenly be older than her??!

I'm 40 and I'm still younger than all my favorites.
