PCD starts promo tour, sets dates for world tour in early 09 With the completition of Doll Domination their second cd, days away, and its release still set for the 23rd, PCD have kicked the promo tour all over the world. Fresh off three east coast shows with other acts, the ladies played NYC friday morning, held a private party that night, then hopped back on a plane to LA to tape a spot for MTV awards show, only to fly back to NYC for another concert appearance on Friday the 5th at Radio City for the Fashions Rocks event, airing Tuesday the 9th. After that they hit the UK and Japan for promo and the release on the 22nd and then fly back to the states for the release on the 23rd, and an instore appearance planned at an unconfirmed venue.
The second single from the upcoming cd will be released on the 9th to iTunes, its called Whatcha Gonna Do, with Missy Elliot. The album itself so far has taken a slightly harder dance edge, with some rockier tracks thrown in, some producers have been removed in place of other ones at the last minute. The girls have also set 75 dates for next year for their first headlining tour that will take them into every market in the world once again, more dates to be added, but as of now the tour is set for feb 09 through august 09. Well Cee-lo is producing another song on this record that may be the 3rd or 4th single, but the style of this album is more edgier/dance and rockier, so what i have heard is nothing in that vain. As for Missy, i just cant stand her, when i see her listed on a track I PRAY for a "without rap" version on a single. LD,
This may be the only artist you mention that I scratch my head on. Even if I accept this as hook driven pop, it just doesn't move me in an authentic way. What am I missing? Music is the best...

Im not in the business anymore of convincing people to get into an artist, all i can say is its POP, pop is disposable, especially now, even when its made by the veterans like Madonna,Mariah and Janet, its disposable, nothing from their records have even stuck with me months later. PCD i'll take because they have a good singer in the lead, plus they dont take themelves seriously, its all an act, i think people take things like this too serious. There are people that actually think the "when i grow up" song was serious, its a freaking parody on every one that makes it, they are goofing on the whole thing. Yeah its all opinion, but this time last year i had 6-7 pop albums that i couldnt stop listening too, this year ZERO, nothing is sticking. Well theres always Girls Aloud in November and Hilary Duff on the 23rd, sad when Duff is a saviour. It's a shame that Nicole's solo album never got off the ground.I bet she's anxious to leave this sorry group and make it big on her own

Why leave? its a freaking cash cov. I had rather her ride the shit out, and go on then leave, come back, break up, do a reunion. I mean thats the shit that everyone pulls, now Destinys Child is going to record again, please, just stop already or dont break up. As for her solo record, well i called it! I said the fact that they were using typical producers she was sounding like everyone else, and thats why it was stopped, the fact that the song with STING got the most response PROVES that people wanted something more than a shit ne-yo track or a duet with TI. Not a shame whatsoever - Flopzinger made some truly atrocious noise. If she was honest, her interviews would go something like this: EXCLUSIVE | MTV News spoke to the star about PCD's new album and (listen up Lewis) what she looks for in a man... Pussycat Dolls are returning to the music scene with a second album Doll Domination after taking a break while leader Nicole Scherzinger worked on her solo career. In the break she also met her boyfriend Lewis Hamilton at the MTV Europe Music Awards. MTV News caught up with Nicole to talk about the girls new album and her romantic life. MTV: Hi Nicole- Is it good to be back with Pussycat Dolls? Flopzinger said: "It feels so good- on the plane over here I was excited because it’s been so long since we’ve been over in the UK and Europe. We feel really strongly about the album." The Honest Truth: "Yes, it's great to have a career again!" MTV: Why did you decide to stop working on your solo career? Flopzinger said: "For me it was what I wanted to do. I’m a relentless perfectionist and I realised that a lot of the songs from my record should be Pussycat Dolls songs including (single) When I Grow Up." The Honest Truth: "Well, I released four different debut singles...and they all flopped. I guess it might have been the lack of any good material, which the label kept on saving for PCD...It's ok though because just like when the Pussycat Dolls came out in 2005; I'm still only 30 years old. If I start now, I can have a three year career as a solo singing stripper." [Edited 9/2/08 15:55pm]

And if you do some research all the songs on the new record were for her album, just re-worked, the TOP 10 single they had, they had to dub in the other girls, the track was done already for her by her. Nicole's response after listneing to the new Janet,Mariah and Madonna albums. Off topic lewis hamilton is not her boyfriend, hes a boy-friend. Hes about as straight as Ricky Martin and Clay Aiken put together. And further off-topic Mick Jagger "flopped" as a solo artist, 6 albums 2 hits 1 gold album. Also its funny how we praise producers and never put down when shit doesnt HIT. If you do lame ass songs with TI NE-yo, Will I am, you are just like everyone else and who the fuck needs it. I said from day one that was wrong and it was proven those dudes fucking suck, the Sting song is the one that got the most response, because it was different from the bullshit that those clowns produce. Sorry just calling it like it is, you wanna call it shit, it goes all around, for every artist. It was too early for her to come out with a solo, and i am glad she didn't release her solo album as the tracks I heard are boring and forgettable.
I think Carmit made a mistake by leaving to pursue a solo career, but I hope it all goes well.

I think Carmit made a mistake by leaving to pursue a solo career, but I hope it all goes well. Honestly for Carmit that had alot to do with the label pushing her out of the group, due to her age, and they also felt she did not fit with the others, she will still from time to time perform with the vegas version, but she has stock in the group being one of the originals from the formation in 1992. And AMEN on the first part, i said all that day one. First it was too early to go solo, BUT if you are going to, do something different than everyone else, that simple, i said it, and Honestly if the song with Sting "powers out" would have been the lead it would have gotten more response, because its different, you wouldnt expect it, and sales are meaningless, i just want a good record that reflects what you wanna do not what "label people" feel you should be paired with, this is what the problem is with Mariah and Janet, they look at a new record and say, "who you got for me thats hot right now" and thats it, and you know i love them, but picking and doing your albums that way is lame. Nicole's apparently your friend, so I understand that you are obligated to feel and react this way. But remember, if you post something, expect to have people post opinions that differ from yours. I jock for Janet, you jock for Nicole/PCD, Cassie, Amerie, etc. but you really shouldn't worry so much if people on the org like them, too. The first PCD album was pretty fun, but I really cannot say anything good about the new singles. And Nicole is pretty funny to me (God, just look at her....PCD would be so much more interesting if they actually hired a stylist), although I have no idea who her boyfriend or gay buddy is, nor do I care - I was merely copying what was in the original article [Edited 9/2/08 19:46pm]

I doubt that the Pussycat Dolls will last too much longer.I'm gonna go ahead and call it now: their new CD won't be nearly as successful as the first one, some will even call it a flop, and the group will breakup somtime in 2009.The writing's on the wall. As for Nicole....I heard a few of her solo singles Really horrible stuff."Dontcha" is a fun, insanely catchy song. It's a pity that they couldn't give her a cool solo single in that vein. .
