Teddy Riley WAS/IS Kyle West!!!!! There was an interview a few years ago in Vibe where he admitted it!!!!! He also admitted he was the producer behind Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock's "It Takes Two"!!!!!
eek eek eek eek eek

Kyle West has numerous interviews, he is not TEddy riley

Agreed. Teddy did a remix or 2 for Al, but Kyle West and Al B. are supposed to be cousins.

You know, I would add Janet's RN, New Editions's Heartbreak album and Johnny Gill's Motown debut album to that list. Those albums were very instrumental in shaping the late 80s and early 90s (musically) for me.

While I always argued against him in the looks department...that was compared to Christopher Williams. razz

However, In Effect Mode was one of my FAVORITE albums....I played it every night and day! I still listen to it regularly. OOh This Love Is So is still a favorite. I think it's one of the most beautiful songs ever made. I'd seen him in concert a few times and although he wasn't a great live singer we did get a bonus. An album from the Girlz...remember them? biggrin

I just cannot believe it's been 20 years. Wow! I'm feeling old and depressed. Music back then was so great. I miss it dearly.

I brough Keith Sweat's debut a couple years ago and wasnt very impressed (only liked the title cut) I might pick this up though lol

I love Nite and Day

al b sure's 'nite and day'
keith sweat's 'make it last forever'
bobby brown 'dont be cruel'
these were albums that you played from start to finish, some of the greatest r&b albums of the 80's...you can add guy's debut album as well

Ahh...you're so right!
