It really is difficult to pick the best turd.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

e = mc's worst album... the only decent song on it is loving you long time.. the rest is just shit

emancipation was a great cd.

seriously how can an artist release such a good album followed by such a turd.. i did hear tho that most of the tracks on e=mc are emancipation cast off's.

My friend was flipping through some tracks and randomly landed on Joy Ride. I almost lost it. Stay the Night is hot too.

I think Mimi will always be special to me. I just really enjoyed that album and that summer and that whole time. MC2 was not the great followup they tried to convince us it was or that most fans hoped it would be. Mimi was grown while MC2 was like MC after a few drinks and hanging out with JD too much. I still treasure I Wish You Well. I believe there will be better music to come over the years.

I'm not a fan, but I listened to Mimi. I actually think it's okay. I like it better than Beyonce's or Usher's stuff.
I liked the two Neptunes tracks, Say Something and To The Floor.

If she had stuck with the same font as Mimi she would have had better success. Why stray now?

It would easily have to be The Emancipation of Mimi. E=MC2 pretty much sucked, but "I'll Be Loving You Long Time", "I'm That Chick," and "I Wish U Well" were nice cuts. Mimi was one of her most accomplished albums and it was the first time since Butterfly (her best record, IMO) that she did an album that didn't have hit singles with filler tackled on. I could listen to Mimi all the way through. That was a great comeback for her and I loved every minute of it. biggrin

Nah, but everybody knows she married him to push the album sales of E=MC2 and it all backfired because it was just a publicity stunt. They won't be together for long.

i really like e=mc2 and i'm surprised that none of the singles besides "touch my body" have caught on. i'm really surprised that it wasnt more successful.

the thing that was different about mimi was that most of the songs had more of a "classic" feel. especially the ballads. i think with e=mc2, the arrangements are all trying to be really contemporary sounding which puts a lot of people off who would rather see mariah act her age.

even tho mimi had its "contemporary" sounding moments, somehow it still sounds mature. e=mc2 comes off as very immature. but i still love it.

This is pretty much how I feel.

And I'm not one of the people who think she married for publicity.

To me its still picking from an artist that has for the most part done very "filler" type albums. I think these albums have strong points and also ALOT of holes, E suffered from horrible singles, Touch My Body and Bye Bye are just not good singles and just not good songs, had Touch my Body been a "mature" video, not Mariah being a 5 year old, then it would have had a better effect on the song, Bye Bye was just horrible. The singles should have been Migrate and Side Effects and then Lovin you and then shut down the singles. Mimi was the big seller, but i never could deal with that cd, there was just too much filler and too many damn tracks, especially the imports of it. Mariah needs a good 9 track 35 minute album.

hard for me to tell this early, but i can say MC2 is aging very well with me so far.

there hasn't been a single day when i haven't played That Chick, Lovin' U Long Time, OOC, Wish You Well, Last Kiss, Thanks For Nothing & even Touch My Body.

Isn't there another version with Ghostface and LL? I really don't care for remixes unless it's truly a different incarnation of the song.

It's officially the new single? I like that song but if she doesn't have a hot video it's going nowhere (interest, not charts, please). She needs to get with director that's going to push her, not cater to her.

they're sending it to Urban Adult Contemporary stations on sep 2nd. to test the water i guess.

but i've got to say that's very brave of them to do, because it deserves to be exposed to people.

Lovin U Long Time may have tanked in radio but it's become very popular among people.

It might be too early to tell but Lovin U Long Time is like Say Something... great song that never takes off commercially but is a huge fan favorite. I love the video too. Mimi, Paris, Pharrell...

Emancipation.

Care and effort was put into that album, E=MC2 just feels like a whole album full of filler.

The only song I really like is Side Effects.

Whereas I like pretty much every song on Mimi.

MIMI, even though I haven´t heard the E=MC2 album, but none of the singles really touched me. They seemed very week to me.

Mimi is a stronger album overall from start to finish and she sounds decent on it.

E-mc squared has some good songs here and there too though, I love OOC, For the Record, Last Kiss and Side Effects, but her music has not changed or evolved at all, and her voice sounds tired.
