The New Edition collaboration is awful

Well there wasnt much to be let down by since they are far from a "Great Albums" type artist, there are a few good cuts and they are lights years better than whats out there. But there is some really bad stuff, like AKON, holy crap with this guy already, i mean what is with this generations bullshit of annoucing they are on a track, Akon we know it syou because it sounds like EVERY OTHER song you are on! But im digging the PCD track because it lets Nicole go off a bit, it wont be a single because their album is out in a few weeks and their second single is already coming out on the 9th. But rumours are that the NKOTB are planning some surprise media things this week and a possible performance on the Mtv awards, since that show already has disaster written on it. They are begging anyone at this point

My problem with the album is the number of tracks, 17 is too much, i dont need 17 tracks of any artist in one shot, unless its a hits package or live album.

overall, not a bad return for nkotb.

their last album in 94, "face the music" is still their best ever, but this isn't too bad at all. Certainly better than expected.

Some of the tracks though have got too much Auto Tune on them, I don't know why though?? They should have left their voices as normal on them tracks, the autotune just gets really irritating, especially since Jordan and Joey have got decent voices, and sound great on most of the other tracks.

Overall, the production is quite good, and has a lot of that trance type synth all over most of the tracks, as that seems to be the "in" thing at the moment in R&B and Hip Hop.

the best track is "stare at you", it has that classic new kids sound, and overall probably the best track.

and yeah, i agree, there are much better tracks that they should have gone with for the singles.

Click Click, they should have gone with that instead of Summertime.

Also, the new edition track just has too much autotune it, its ridiculous.

Still, the album is better than most of the shit that is out there on the charts.

i can not wait to get this cd on tuesday!! i think it's dope as hell that they did a track with NE. i hope the rumour about them performing at the VMA's is true!! i'm seeing them in october. NKOTB rocks!! i wasn't too crazy about "summertime" at first but's it's grown on me. can't wait to hear the rest.

Out tomorrow but all the stores in NYC (mom and pop type) have had it since wednesday nite as with most releases. I got a promo from the label about 2 weeks ago when the record was complete. They are doing an instore on 43rd and 5th tomorrow.

it doesnt make sense though why they have used it on about 4 or 5 tracks.

it gets very irritating, especially on one of the tracks, its absolutely pointless having it on there, it just ruins the tracks by having this vocoder autotune on Joey and Jordan's voices. On the other tracks, they don't have the vocoder autotune.

maybe they wanted to cash in on the tpain thing. lol
