Paula Abdul - The Way That You Love Me on AMA's

Watching this performance makes me miss the 80s and 90s. We don't get award show performances of this caliber anymore. Now, it's just weak choreography and no attention to detail.

Man, I miss stuff like this.

I don't know if I blame the media or just the people in the biz. There are not enough "good" choreographers working now in the music biz. I haven't seen a video in recent years that has choreography this good, nor have I seen a performer good enough to pull a performance like this off.

WOW! Amazing performance! beautiful dance and choreography with amazing ideas, it looks like dance, not some aeorbics as MJ once said. You´re right. Nobody does that nowadays. Nobody has the talent so they try to impress us by either running almost naked onstage or by monumental screens showing some images.

Watching Paula Abdul dance in videos and performances like this is what made me want to dance. This song and the original video is my fave song by Paula. She was the perfect combination of a classically trained dancer, with some street elements, but always funky. When I was in high school I lucked out to attend a dance camp that was taught by the great Tina Landon BEFORE she started dancing with Janet and went on to an amazing career as a choreographer to the stars. But Paula started it all. thumbs up!

Here's the original video. I always thought it was too black which was why they reshot it. This version was always on BET but I never saw it on MTV. Anyways, this is my favorite song by her EVER! woot!
