Thelma Houston - "You Use To Hold Me So Tight" Jam & Lewis!! - The whole side one was one continuous 80's funk fest.

I remember the video for this song.It was actually three videos that were linked together,to tell a story....
"You Used To Hold Me So Tight" "Fantasy and Heartbreak" "I'd Rather Spend The Bad Times With You (Than Spend The Good Times With Someone New)" This was a radical concept in 1984,and not too many other artists were doing this.

I never seen the video for any of these songs! And that side 1 is heaven! J&T always were on point when it came to Side 1's in the 80's! It Must Be Love is also a vivacious pop and r&b tune with very vivid instrumentation. I love that song. Straight Jacket Funk Affair
Album plays and love for vinyl records.

That does some radical considering her commerical expectations were probably not super high. I'm familar with "You Used To Hold Me So Tight". It's hot.

Apparently, her record label had alot of confidence in that project. At that time, everything that Jam and Lewis touched turned to gold.So they allowed her to make a 3-song video (or "mini movie") in which the storyline unfolded throughout the three videos.
