rainbow and charm bracelet have some awesome songs though I'm not sure about the album as a whole, for me the guest rappers ruin it. I like:

Rainbow:

X Girlfriend
Did I Do That
Can't Take that Away From Me

Charm Bracelet:

I Only Wanted
Lullaby
Clown
honorable mention: My Saving Grace

How sad since I was sitting right next to my CDs. I feel like I lied to Cinnie. sad

My faves off Rainbow are: Heartbreaker, Crybaby, Bliss and Petals.

Mimi beats the shit outta E=MC2. I've only played E=MC2 once. I liked it when it came out but when I thought about it recently, I realized that I didn't care about it anymore, but I dig "I'm That Chick" quite a bit. With The Emancipation of Mimi, I played the hell out of that CD. It was my favorite CD of 2005 and it helped me out a lot as I was going through some personal stuff at that time. I consider Mimi to be her best CD. There isn't a bad song on it. I have more hope for her now than I did in say 2001 so I'm not worried, yet.

I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

To me, we're still living the E=MC2 era so of course I am enjoying it more!

Ask me again in about 3 years to compare the two... we should have a new Mariah album by then and a bit more perspective.

Nah man...the slow jams are just too too lame and safe for me. Ashanti could sing those songs and I'd be looking out the window in the passengers seat falling asleep....Mimi's slow jams set her apart from the rest and put the singers at her age a voice to be reckoned with.

Somehow the tracklist for this album appears more appealing when it is divided into 4 sides. I bolded my favorites.

RECORD ONE SIDE A
Migrate
Touch My Body
Cruise Control
Stay In Love

RECORD ONE SIDE B
Side Effects
I'm That Chick
Love Story

RECORD TWO SIDE C
I'll Be Lovin' You Long Time
Last Kiss
Thanx 4 Nothin'
O.O.C.

RECORD TWO SIDE D
For The Record
Bye Bye
I Wish You Well

U right. Everyside got one good song.

Which are your favorites?

MC2 is a good cd she just blew it on the single releases. She has three good top 10 singles left on the cd that should have been 2, 3, 4 but nooooo! Bye Bye, told you it would bomb. Lovin you long time??? All the JD tracks SUCK. Don't think about bringing those out.

'I'm That Chick' is smokin hott!!!!
Did she cancel 'Migrate' as the second cut?
Side Effects!!??
Even 'For the Record' would do well as a single. Better than Bye Bye

E=MC2 is no where near as good as MIMI; and to be honest i wasn't all that taken with MIMI. I wish she'd grow up and write songs like those that were on the butterfly album again - Only this time sing them properly without all that breathy crap.

There were some good singles on MC2, but who the hell let her put the songs she did out?

it should have been
- I'm that Chick
- I'll be lovin' U long time
- O.O.C
- Cruise Control

All the ballads on the CD are crap (bar "I Wish You Well") and that's just not a single.

on another note did anyone else hear "From the part of me i pee, we migrate"? lol I couldn't understand! Apparently it's "From the Part V.I.P" lol razz

I don't know how it went from "That Chick" being the album title, to not being a single, because I think that's the one song people agree on.

wow the crap that goes on in here deaf and stupid - its from the bar to v.i.p.

the album is still on heavy rotation, sounds as fresh as ever. i don't know what people are bitching about. its a solid party album. im that chick is bonafide and i stay in love and thanx for nothing are well structured ballads alongsige the closer.

Well structured and manufactured b.s. that some 16 year old r&b artist could have put out with a protools producer. There were no real slow jams like Circles and I Wish You Knew with real instruments and a real musicians talent to produce such work. And even though classics like "Bliss" and "Joyride" were made with protools they captured great songwriting and didnt sound like hand-me-downs.

maybe it's just me but some of the songs sound like janet rejects, unless janet's songs were mariah rejects

Side Effects reminded me of janet's Body

I Stay In Love reminded me of Never Letchu Go and Greatest Ex

ur so full of contradictions i dont even know why u are arguing with me? arent u a mariah fan?

well strucutered in terms of arrangment, song structure/lyrics, voice intonation, layering, beat implementation - all parts which go to make up a song - are you mental? i stay in love is a bonafide classic guaranteed it will appear on a compilations 5-10 years from now - honestly i dont see any other artist bringing that edge to this song and b.cox is a beast - their partnership is what gives the song its structure.

slow jams? love story and for the record - sure they are not are great as her other material but still they serve their purpose.

I thought it was cliche too but I love the "oh oh oh oh, last last last, last kiss last kiss last kiss" parts of it and how it builds from there.

Thanks for nothing was boring to me, sounded like typical babyface/la reid 90's music.

she sings too much in her middle lower register which gives that nasally vocals sounds kinda like her mouth is closed and she's mumbling...yeah song does build but it takes ages to do that
