Emanicipation had some burners on it that I still listen to: Got Your Number, Stay The Night and Say Something. I didn't check for the other album @ all, tho.

E=MC had 5 good songs and MIMI had 4, you know what that equals? Bad albums. "We went where our music was appreciated, and that was everywhere but the USA, we knew we had fans, but there is only so much of the world you can play at once" Magne F

neither album was anything to write home about
and for all the praise Butterfly receives I wasnt particuraly fond of it upon the time it was released but i've since grown to like it. Was the last Mariah album I purchased before I bought Mimi 8 years later. I think I might take my own advice and stop buying her albums again if she continues to go in this direction. [Edited 9/2/08 17:12pm] I totally agree on Butterfly, i have never seen or heard what makes this album a classic, outside of the fact that MC says its her favorite. Its got some good cuts, but it also has bad ones. A big issue with Mariah is the fact that all her album cuts are inter-changeable, her albums have no identity, its a major artistic flaw she has. I was just listening to Charmbracelet today. It's worse than Rainbow. They're my least favorite of her albums. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

Rainbow and Charmbracelet are both pretty dire, but Charmbracelet had one of her most interesting and worthwhile songs: Clown. Rainbow has really nothing to recommend.

I'm not sure I even ever owned a copy of those. I own Charmbracelet only because it was a gift from a family member I listened to it once and never had the desire to want to listen to it again which is rare for me

I'm not sure I even ever owned a copy of those. Charmbracelet is good for the fan favorite, Subtle Invitation but Rainbow has about two or three memorable ones depending on who you ask. Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

But those remixes aren't on the album. /Thank God I Found You/ /Heartbreaker/ No, they're not and they would be great bonus tracks. Those are two of my fave remixes by her along with Always Be My Baby. [Edited 9/2/08 20:01pm] Been gone for a minute, now I'm back with the jump off

I wish she would do an entire album with Walter Afanasieff and James Poyster especially Afanasieff, they both complemated each other very well in my opinion
