what songs bring a little tear to your eye?

Beatles - Long and Winding Road

Carpenters - We've Only Just Begun

Squidward's Marching Band - Sweet Victory (the end, where he triumphs over Squilliam! it honestly gets me everytime)

Many songs from Bob Dylan. So many that I can't even begin the list them, but here are a few:

buckets of rain
boots of spanish leather
simple twist of fate
standing in the doorway
till I fell in love with you
visions of Johanna

Any many more!

George Michaels "waiting for that day" does it to me too.

I figured you might like that, if you liked that Carpenters' track.

Anxiety

"dream a little dream of me" by mama cass. it's just such an adorable recording. nothing about it isn't sweet.

"spiritual" by johnny cash, just because he sounds so passionate and vulnerable. i haven't heard him sing like this on any other song, though i'm sure he has. i just haven't heard the songs yet.

and for some reason, radiohead + public transit = cry

don't put me on a train and plug a radiohead album into my ears if you don't want waterworks. go figure. shrug

I have to say that 'Instant Karma' by John Lennon, even if it does not bring a tear to my eye, definitely gives me a thrill when he sings the main chorus to the song.

Maybe 'Blue Eyes Blue' by Eric Clapton. I always find his voice to be very emotional.
