What a great tribute to a Motown legend. I've seen ABC twice in the last few years (last time was on Sunday - they did the 12" mix of "When Smokey Sings"!) and they still put on a great show and have always had fantastic style. Martin Fry still has such a strong voice. I can't believe I'm still a fan after 25 years!

I often hear this over the speaker at my job and i always sing
the chorus and my co workers get a kick out of me singing it.
Not an ABC fan but this one is cool.

It's twenty plus years old but I want to comment on the fact that the velvet painting in the video is actually a black faced Elvis. I'm going to double check to be sure, but how sincere can a song be when they can't use an actual picture of Smokey? After a second look, yeah, it's a blackface Elvis, really weird, isn't it?

I'm a pretty big ABC fan. Martin Fry pretty much looks the same, he's got a powerhouse of a voice. Check out his cover of 'Thunderball.'

they are playing in Dublin with Human League in October.....also when Smokey heard the song for the first time he said he cried as he was so flattered
