TONY, White Picket Fence and I Decided Part 2 and maybe one other are okay but not enough to make a purchase (besides that’s one of the worst album covers). Solange responds

R&B singer Solange has lashed back at Fox News for what she believes was an ambush that would have interrupted her interview about music to talk about Jay-Z and his recent business dealings.

As reported by SOHH’s Ya Heard blog, the Geffen artist caught a bit of heat Wednesday (August 27) when she began her interview with a local Las Vegas Fox station.

“I have to say that was not a very professional introduction before," she said. "Please don’t tie me into family and my brother-in-law’s establishment.”

While many viewers were unsure as to what the 22 year-old was referencing, Solange recorded a video shown on TMZ explaining what occurred prior to the live taping.

“Before the interview started they told me that I was live on camera and I had an ear piece in and the producer didn’t know,” she said. “So they’re like, ‘Live! You’re on’ and I hear people say, ‘Make sure you ask about Jay-Z’s club going down in this really negative tone and this is right before my interview started and I thought we were live on the air.”

Describing her emotions immediately following the announcement, the singer further justified her reactions.

“I felt very disrespected,” she continued. “I felt very offended that someone would try to bring up something totally irrelevant and totally untrue to basically reel me in to tell me to talk about the record and then try to charge me up about something. And for the record [Jay] sold the club for a very nice check.”
SOHH previously reported Jay-Z reached an agreement with the Palazzo Resorts to return the space occupied by his 40/40 nightclub to make room for a race and sports betting site.

In her video, Solange also addressed today’s journalism and the connection between gossip provokers Fox and TMZ.

“I just was disappointed at the level of journalism right now. I feel like it’s at an all-time low. For those of you who don’t know, Fox and TMZ are affiliates so they work hand-in-hand to uh, you know, make clips like that to bring attention to their website.”

Solange concluded her clip saying she does not regret her words or the way she responded to her interviewer and the network.

“I stand by my reaction. I still say it was highly disrespectful and abusive,” she added. “You can either love me or leave me alone for that.”

So Fox News is spilling the beans on Solange. After she popped off on the Fox News anchor yesterday morning for being “unprofessional” and lumping her in with her big sis, Fox has put out some juice on her. They’re saying that their sources in Solo’s camp say she’s a spolied brat who gets anything she wants and has no media training. Allegedly the Knowles camp is “apologetic” for her mouthiness yesterday, but they have not submitted any statement to Fox. They also say they know Solange is not a fan of Fox networks (I certainly feel her on that), but she’s clearly more than willing to use them for publicity. Point em out, point em out, point em out…

I don't think it's a damn if she did and damned if she didn't scenario. If she hadn't said anything on air, then she would seem to have known that intro was off the air. If she did want to stand up for herself, she could have done it in a more tactful manner and seemed more respectful. She came off as unprofessional.

The thing is there are ways to do this, and ways NOT to. She picked the way NOT to do it. Look she isnt the first to get bombed with questions about a famous parent,brother, sister, or just something that happend to them. This is what the media is now, ratings and soundbytes, and she fell into the trap, she could have killed them with some sarcasm and kindness, instead she took the spoiled brat route, which is the image people had of her already.

Julian Lennon has dealt with questions about his dad in every interview with him since 1980 up until an interview just last week! But Julian despite getting tired of it, has never resorted to doing something like this, he has used the Lennon sarcasm at times. When asked things like "you know you sound just like your dad and just like the Beatles" he replies to that now wiht "yeah why wouldnt I?, its the greatest legacy ever, and im the child of it, why wouldnt i want that talent on me?"

Solange showed no "know how" when being interviewed, she showed herself as the jealous sister.

but how does jealousy relate there? she shut them down on the jay-z thing, it wasn't a beyonce issue. plus, she appeared on the today show with beyonce and her mom.

what i don't get is, it's one incident, and she's labled as an ugly jealous cunt. whoa. i'll bet if it was one of them divas, she'll be the shit

plus, it should be expected of her to slip as she's new into this whole media thing.
