So the news is wrong and none of the pictures where he supposedly looked good have shown up?
And I thought only Prince fans were brainwashed.

I still think he looked good compared to how he's looked over the past year. At least he can move his face once again
and even tho' his look isn't natural there's something cute about him!

He looked good and the pics I've seen show that there is nothing wrong with his nose. Its so funny how the media claim that its only now that he wears band aids and masks...when in fact he has been wearing those things since 1985!!! I've also noticed how hypercrital the media is. They claim that its wrong to judge people based on their sex, gender, race, religion, appearance etc yet for the last 10 years they have brutally judged Micahel on his race, sexuality and most importantly his appearance in the most vile and degrading way! Especially these last few days and have u noticed how they have played down how he looked on day 2 and now day 3? but u can bet your bottom dollar come next week People mag will run that Wed pic and proclaim that MJ's face is falling apart bullshit!

Why didn't the online media outlets show Thurs and Friday pics of MJ without the band aid and mask? U know where he looks like his regular self LOL? IMO the media are just covering themselves that perhaps they jumped the gun. But of course they never ever like admiting to that do they! Why? Michael "the freakshow" jacksons sells So I won't be surprised next week People mag will run that Wed pic and proclaim that MJ's face is falling apart bullshit while ignoring the other pics. After all they got to keep MJ in his little box don't they! They say that the trial is a circus...its a circus cause they brought their cameras with them! Come one over the years their has never been this type of publicity surrounding MJ the other times that he has appered in court for song plagerism etc! Everyone needs to go to the photos section of http://search.news.yahoo....el+jackson to see that MJ looks right now! So don't be so quick to judge him!

Written by Perrindaynes at www.mjjforum.com:

Who was it that said that the worst publicity was no publicity? I would like to demure...I think that publicity for the sake of publicity SUCKS!

The man of mystery!

Who could have believed that a 'washed up singer and dancer' could inspire such pre occupation and talk by media heads and pundits?

Imagine you are a court reporter for CNN, Fox or the AP who is required to cover a minor and mundane court appearance by the "former" King of Pop. Nothing really to look forward to besides boring testimony regarding cash and cancelled concert shows.

But wait...what is that? Jacko has tape on his nose and stubble on his chin and face.

STOP THE PRESSES!

A unflattering photo is uploaded to the net and EVERYONE is speculating on Jackson's nose, his marriages, his beard, his clothes, his music...

Uhhh... Isn't there a war brewing the Mideast?

But seriously...this post isn't about Jackson's obvious media and cultural interest. This is about the need for the media to do anything in order to boost ratings and newspaper sales and Internet hits. Do you know if Matt Drudge hadn't printed that manipulated picture of Mr. Jackson on the Drudgereport none of this would be happening. That picture was the most downloaded picture, getting over 7000 dl's in the past couple of days! More proof that in our culture the salacious, tabloid tainted "news" can push off more important news and information!

When did this happen? When did Tabloid style media seep into mainstream news? I point to the early 90's and the advent of tabloid television such as Hard Copy, Inside Edition, A Current Affair, etc. This evil triangle worked hand and hand with super market tabloids and the major East Coast tabloids. This meant that a celebrity story could be elongated for a period of a couple of weeks or more! But the finest moment in tabloid journalism was the Amy Fisher story--the Long Island Lolita! The tabloid media electronic and print was able to dominate the minds of Americans that the mainstream media had no choice but to cover it or lose ratings to the upstarts.

After Amy Fisher came the other major tabloid stories including the allegations regarding Michael Jackson. But the event that changed mainstream media for the worst was OJ Simpson and the Nicole Brown murder case. Tabloid media and their deep financial pockets broke stories which left the mainstream media in the dust.

After that it was as if a light went off in the land of responsible journalism.

When OJ Simpson was arrested and arraigned, Newsweek magazine manipulated the picture to make him seem more menacing, dangerous -- playing on the sterotypical fear of black male aggression. That particular magazine sold like hotcakes. Hell, Newsweek was caught and they admitted that they tampered with the photo after the NAACP and other civil rights organizations went after them. The dye was cast...ratings and Internet hits and print sales dictated the news more than information.

That's why that logical discussion on Michael Jackson are pooh-poohed. It doesn't sell. A healthy looking Michael Jackson would allow Matt Drudge thousands and thousands of hits...a wealthy Michael Jackson isn't as interesting as a broke Michael Jackson ... just ask Roger Friedman! Good news doesn't help the financial bottom line folks.

After all, with Michael Jackson's nose supposedly collapsing...who wants to know what is happing in the Middle East?

It's just not a ratings grabber!

I think you misunderstand me,
when i say cute i don't mean i'm attracted to him,
i mean cute in a cartoon-ish kind of way...
...but sure, a lot of people DO fancy the man and, hey, each to their own.

Geez, do you have to ask? Of course it's D'angelo.
That is one fine brother. eyepop
Anyway, back to one not so fine brother.
The reason MJ was so late to court is cause it took that long to apply the massive coats of make-up to hide the damage he's done to his face. He probably thought he'd be allowed to keep the surgical mask on during his testimony, so the first court appearance caught him off guard.
