What's your summer CD(s) been?

I know we all got our favorite separate individual songs, but I want to know what full albums or full discs you kept in rotation.

Mine was a mix by DJ Craze which I know really isn't an album but it's still one disc someone could go and cop for themselves.

So I guess, recommend an album from your summer.

01. Craze Feat. Armanni Reign "Intro"
02. N.O.R.E. Feat. Swizz Beatz & J. Ru$$ "Set It Off"
03. Cool Kids "I Rock"
04. Cool Kids "Black Mags"
05. Bangers & Cash "Loose"
06. Tuff Crew "My Part Of Town"
07. Jan Hammer "Miami Vice Theme"
08. Miami Jam Crew "Pretty Girls" vs. DJ Blaqstarr Feat. Rye Rye "Shake It To The Ground (Acapella)"
09. Lushus "Ho Fo Sho"
10. The Beat Club "Security"
11. Chromeo Feat. Pase Rock "Bonafied Lovin' (Eli Escobar Remix)"
12. Treasure Fingers "Cross The Dancefloor"
13. DJ Blaqstarr "Supastarr"
14. Coldcut Feat. Roots Manuva "True Skool (Switch Remix)"
15. Earth, Wind & Fire "Brazilian Rhyme"
16. Armand Van Helden "I Want Your Soul"
17. Debbie Deb "When I Hear Music"
18. Magic Mike "Magic Mike Cutz The Record"
19. Quadrant Six "Body Mechanic"
20. DJ Laz "Red Alert"
21. Fresh Celeste & M4 Sers "Give It All To Me"
22. Bangers & Cash "Shake That"
23. Pase Rock "Lindsay Lohan's Revenge (Klever Remix)"
24. Kazey & Bulldog "Big Truck"
25. Chemical Brothers "Get Yourself High (Switches Rely On Rub)"
26. Kid Sister Feat. Kanye West "Pro Nails (Remix)"
27. DJ Assault "Pushin' (Deekline, Wizard & Freq Mix)"

The days where I could fully and truly appreciate A FULL ALBUM seem to be over.
I bought Erykah Badu´s album months ago and listened to it two or three times ( mind you,I still play Mama´s Gun and Worlwide Underground on heavy rotation but the last one wasn´t really my thing).
I play a lot of old school stuff these days, Ohio Players, old Curtis Mayfield vinyl stuff, Cameo, SOS Band.I still play fucking Urban Hang Suite, and that´s more than twelve years old. Other than that, the occasional Jigga mix CD or maybe some random House stuff while doing housework( no pun intended).
Maybe a couple of Prince songs. Maybe a bit of Master Ace or some very old Hip Hop stuff, or old school jams by Full Force or Midnight Star.
Or some odd Turkish oldschool stuff like Zeki Müren or TSM or maybe Sezen Aksu´s old music.Sometimes a bit of Common thought I can´t listen to all his songs.
But summer CD ? Not really.

My summer started off with a bang as I really got into Gogol Bordello and their last two albums. This is a "gypsy punk" outfit that mixes Eastern European sounds with rock, and it all comes out wilder and more wonderful than you could imagine. Political, funny, angry, melodic, and very danceable.

Next, I love The Hold Steady, a great rock band that sings of sex, drugs, girls, boys, gambling, love, lust etc...in a way that just transports you back to the drunken, drugged out days of yore, where girls and boys in America fucked in the bathrooms, and much worse...
Their new album "Stay Positive" largely rocks my world.

Finally, the old hand Elvis Costello apparantly gathered his band the Imposters, and a couple of backup singers to boot, and recorded a full album in 9 days time with material he had written for the sessions.
"Momofuku" continues his streak of vibrant, hungry, melodic rock that he's been turning out for most of this decade, including the brilliant "Delivery Man" and the terrific album he made with the great Allen Toussaint.

Up until the Muxtape debacle recently ruined my life, my summer soundtrack had been the various org mixtapes. confused

I reckon so far it is Chante Moore's "Love the Woman" until Raphael Saadiq's CD hits.
We all want the stuff that's found in our wildest dreams.
