I need some Rickie Lee Jones music

I have nothing from her in my collection. I know, I know shame on me. What would you suggest?? Other than Cuck E's in Love and Youngblood what are some other gems by this fine artist. I happened catch an old Alanis Morrisete concert, and for some reason she always reminds me of RLJ.. Go figure

You have to get the entire self-titled record.. Also try to find, or just bite the bullet and buy, her live version of "My Funny Valentine" which is on the "Duchess of Coolsville" box set. She's just such a truly unique talent (cliche as that sounds)

When i was young i remember someone in my family had a record called
"Girl at her volcano"
It had this song which I always thought was sooo beautiful, 'walk away renee'.

The record went missing from the family collection at some point (along with my favorite nina simone album incidently).

It is a hard one to track down I've discovered. I'm not sure why it would be obscure, but I have never seen it around

Anyway, this has inspired my to hunt it down on amazon...
$43 for eight tracks... do I get it? I have no recollection of the other tracks, I would just play that one song over and over

Her music is in a category all it's own. She has changed musical styles many times during her career. To suggest just one album (no matter how good) isn't doing anyone any justice. You really need to get the DUTCHESS OF COOLSVILLE box set to really enjoy a cross section of her music. Her latest CD - SERMON ON EXPOSITION BOULEVARD is a really a good album.
