Craig David's new album *Slicker Than Your Average* Slammin cd,i thought it would b hard 2 top Born2DoIt but this is up there
I thought when i heard "whats your flava" the 1st time that it was trying 2 please the american style rnb crowd, not that UK 2step sound that was on his 1st LP,but with every listen (i only bought it hours ago) u really feel it...he worked with the same producers pretty much who he worked with on Born... but the sound is just a lil diff' on a few songs. Also the song with Sting is really beautiful. Not much else 2 say besides Buy It U Wont RegretIt Oh,actually...i tried 2 rip the cd on2 my computer,so i can play it on my Winamp & copy it 4 my friend Jadie...so i opened up MusicMatch & put the cd in,& it did nothing! usually when i put a cd in it will come up preparing 2 copy in2 mp3 files, but nothing came up,even when i clicked on the drive in MyComputer 2 explore the drive's content. I wonder if it has anti-piracy software in it I know with LL Cool J's new album, when i ripped it,i got about 10 trax in & it just wouldnt record or do anything. ***************************************************************************************

Through radio and TV documentary I have heard most of new album and just with his first set I'm not feeling it.
Only song I like is "What's Ya Flava" a nice departure to his usual sound and recalling 80s/90s New Jack vibe. Ignorantz laced him but the diversifying meant he only reached a relatively low #8 in UK charts. | |

My account and approach 2wards Craig David is well-documented but am more P.O'd about the state of Black British music.
really get angry when execs toss us a bone and call it "Craig" and then say that he's the flagship of UK R'n'B... now U know I ain't keen on swearing but BULLSHIT Craig is another product of the industry like the black guy from Blue and S Club 7... the difference is that he's a solo Artist. Y does there always have 2 B a "UK's answer 2..."? Look at Lynden David Hall... Isn't that just another way of saying "Al Green UK"? D'Angelo came 2 mind, but LDH doesn't have the same SeX appeal. oh yeah, and his new album is wack 2. 'dre Tried many flavours - but sooner or later, always go back to the Purple Kool-aid!
