Let's C how long she lasts. It's amazing what a bit of talent with over-saturating media hype can do... if the execs want 2.

I agree with you she is so over-exposed and for a song that sounds alot like It's a Man's World by James Brown. It will be very interesting to see how her follow up does.

Of course she won...its not like she had any serious competition. But if she beat Mary J Bligh I'd be pissed off...its about time that Mary got some awards...unlike Alica she has paid some serious dues!

I AM SO GLAD somebody else caught the James Brown "It's a Man's World" Reference! I have to say that I never disliked her as an artist, but I really would like to see some of the other girls win in the R&B catagory, already, as well as some new material from her. Otherwise, it would appear that she's definitely coasting on old laurels, so to speak. Oh well, at the very least, it nice to see her in a dress for once, working those Manolo Blahnik Stilettos...

Oh I think it's only a matter of time before she either has a nervous breakdown (ala Mariah Carey)..or is forced to go all slutty (ala Christina Aguilara) to revive her career.

Jeeze the R&B field must be of people with less talent then her for her to win this award.
