Jimi Hendrix posthumous releases--help Besides the Hendrix family issues (re)releases, I stumbled on to a bunch of Hendrix titles on the web that got my attention:
Is Midnight Lightning available anywhere. The review were mixed on it, but I like Hendrix, so is it worth the buy? Crash Landing? Is there a detailed list of his unofficial posthumous albums? Any advice is helpful "Old man's gotta be the old man. Fish has got to be the fish."

Do you have "First Rays Of The New Rising Sun?" If not, that is definitely
the first one you should get. It compiles songs that were scattered on many of those posthumous releases that are out of print. First Rays is one of my favorite Hendrix cd's, it's a must have!

Have that one, but the albums I am curious about were released by Alan Douglas during the 1970s "Old man's gotta be the old man. Fish has got to be the fish."

Unless you're just interested in acquiring every album involving Jimi Hendrix, anything that doesn't have Eddie Kramer's name on it (engineer, co-producer), i'd avoid like the plague.
Especially anything that has the name Alan Douglas attached to it should be looked at with suspicion. (There's one exception to the "Alan Douglas rule of exclusion", an album called Nine To The Universe) tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. C'mon y'all."

Stuff like when he played with Curtis Knight and of course, all of the Douglas related records. Everything. I remember digging all of the album covers though. They all had great pics of Jimi on a cover where the material is either hella unfinished (which was a crime that it was released in that way..Jimi was probably turning major flips in his grave) or it was stuff from Jimi with Curtis. I learned the hard way... I'm glad that I have them though. But I wouldn't suggest trying to find them though because it's staight highway robbery. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."

Also stay away from "Free Spirit", "Get That Feeling", "Last Night", and "Roots Of Hendrix". Supposedly they were not Jimi and done by a bad impersonator.
