On a recent vinyl dig,I bought the Player album that contains this song.It has always been one of my favorites.I really like the (slightly) extended version that appears on the album. It has a longer intro that's just heavenly music I dig that bassline.

Who remembers their follow-up single "This Time I'm In It For Love"? That one is great too.

One of the best jams from the 70's. Love this song.

Absolutely love this song...but then again, I'm a sucker for the 70's music lol music
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

nod The second week of '78

"Baby Come Back" was the only #1 song through the first week of May (of 6 total) not written or co-written by a Bee Gee.

Makes you realize how much musicianship and creativity actually went into music when you compare to most of the stuff that's labeled music these days.

I've always associated that song with being in kindergarten and childhood memories. A 70's classic.
