We don't know what context the insult was made in. If she hated Prince that much, she wouldn't play the song.

What you have to realize is that this was not a collaboration between Prince and Sinead. Her people paid to use that song -- for all she cares, it could've been written by anyone. Do you think that any of the singers out there - who don't write their own material - know who wrote their songs? The credits are listed in the CD booklet, but do you think they care?

We're only concerned because it's Prince who wrote that particular song. I doubt ANY singers out there - like Mariah or Whitney, for example - thank their songwriters (without whom they'd be nowhere).

If anything, she is sick of hearing "Prince wrote this song". She's got other great songs (The Emperor's New Clothes and No Man's Woman are amazing), but she can't escape NC2U.
