^^^yea their stuff from that era
is real reminiscent of those times (the MJ reference) I always thought some of it sounded like Janet's first album (but I'm sure that's because they had a hand in that album if I'm not mistaken) as for this tune in particular not real crazy about it my mother (or sister) owned the 45 
which has "My First Love" as the b-side my fave uptempo from that Rise album though would have to be "When It Comes To Love"
